Gattuso, Kaka', and Seedorf will be in Munich, Germany on the 12th of July for a fund raiser friendly, the cause is to raise educational funds in South Africa. Moreover, this game will be played as a birthday present for Nelson Mandela, who will be turning 90.
It's a good cause though friendlies will not save Africa.
^^
Nope...you need Mourinho.
To save Africa you need a lot more than a ball and XI vs XI
It's a project called 'Goal4Africa' ...
This is Seedorf's comments from Melia hotel in Milano, where he held a press conference about this summit.
"With goal4africa, we want to be a hand in education and progress in Africa. The first big occasion for goal4africa will give us the first chance to set our goals in place, it will be on the 12th of July in the Allienz Arena in Munich Germany. It will be a fund raiser friendly of which 40 of the greatest players in the world will take part in. Goal4africa will focus on collecting money from each goal scored all over the world, with a little donation. There will also be a number that the fans in the stadium could send an sms to, if they were interested. It is a big match, with a goal even bigger than anything I have played for, and that is promoting the progress of Africa."
Seedorf continued: "Nelson Mandela is a figure, he represents the cause to me personally. He has always been pushing for the progress of his country and continent. Goal4africa is a means to get the message across and I am certain he will be there. More so, I am certain he will give his donation as soon as he steps into the stadium. I am happy to be ambassador to this project. When they first explained this project to me, I felt that it would have a major impact from a humanitarian point of view to help develop and progress Africa. Also to help develop other projects, from this stepping stone. Another match for Africa, everyone is equal and everyone plays sport from a general perspective. The project as a whole is going according to plan, and our philosophy is to educate the kids through football in general, but not only that."
Seedorf concluded: "I have also spoken to other partners who have embraced the project from the first proposal. And the goal is to help the project run into the foreseeable future as a primary objective. There are players from Bayern and Chelsea, also Fabio Cannavaro and Gigi Buffon have embraced the project as well."
I dont get it.... so who exactly r we playing?
Save Africa what a joke!
Did you know that the fill up of a car's tank is equivalent to feed a person in Africa for 1 year?
(The principal food out there being wheat!)
Save Africa huh ...
oh so this wont be shown on tv?
The game is two weeks from now .. on the 12th of July.
At the same date (07/12) a "10 years after friendly" will be held, to remember the French victory in 1998. France will face the World selection. Here are the call-ups (ex-Milan players bolded):

Coach: Arsene Wenger & Hristo Stoičkov
They're both pretty nice squads!
BOBAN!
Bet that's going to be an entertaining game to watch.
Seedorf will be happy. After this match people will think he's a bullet...
Moussa Saib (? - who is this?)
^^According to wiki he played for Valencia, Spurs and Monaco most notably (amongst others). He is Algerian.. but I've never heard of him either.
I'm not sure...maybe it's a mistake. I cannot find any logical reason why this Saib has been called-up, apart from that he's a friend to Zizou or something like that.
But the World team call-ups are a bit surprising to me. Why didn't they bring more of the oldies, like Romario, Roberto Carlos or Maldini? Paolo would be ideal for this.
Anyone noticed who's missing for France?
Oh, and I'm not sure were to watch this match either. Hope Eurosport will make themselves usefull for once.
Is Paolo back after his rehab for the knee. I suspect he's not playing for medical reasons. He's probably still strengthening it.
I think Il Capitano and Rino are scheduled to take part in Seedorf's charity gig at Allianz Arena on the same day as the French game.
The World XI managers will be interesting, Wenger and Stoichkov working toether will be...something.
Dugarry..
Lizarazu..
This picture pretty much sums up why I. Hate. Dugarry.
What is wrong with Lizarazu and Dugarry?
The shirt he's wearing in the picture I posted. *******.
Lizarazu? Hmm, he was the captain of France in World Cup 1998. Ruined my summer, never liked him since. He stamped Italy in the quarters, and Brazil, of course, in the final. It was supposed to be Ronaldo's tournament, he burst into the scene, and was immense in the World Cup. But it was some guy named Zidane who fluked his way to the top. Mind you, he was pretty mediocre leading to the final. Oh well.
Personal preferences, just that. Then again, the only French players I ever care about are Gorcuff, Ribbery and Benzama.
Many champions will be on the pitch tonight in Munchen: the two captains will be Clarence Seedorf and Michael Ballack, the coach of one of the two will be Paolo Maldini. In the team led by the Milan captain, also Michael Schumacher and Eros Ramazzotti will play. Among the Italians, other than Del Piero, also Nesta, Gattuso and Pirlo are expected.

So,it's the first Team of Maldini as a coach
Gee, thanks Vahid. I heard about this match to be played in Munich. Fingers crossed Paolo's team will win, and win comfortably.
