I think Essien has to regain form, because one way or the other, he'll play against Atletico (Monto suspended for his idiotic move against Ajax). He was bad against Napoli, yet, in the second half he showed a tiny spark. I think he could do considerably better when he reaches his optimal form.
As for Poli...maybe as AM, with Taarabt and Honda on the flanks?

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Feb 13 2014, 08:26 AM) Are they thinking Poli as a winger? Unless Seedorf decided to go with 4-3-2-1 in which case this would be a great line up bar Essien. I don't think Seedorf will change formations And the Poli thing could just be a guess. But Kaka will probably start, unless he's resting him for Wednesday. As for Essien, he's barely played this season, some rustiness is bound to show, but I think him and Monto are the best choices for that DP. At least characteristic-wise

It would be wise to rest Kaka. No point in playing him here.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Feb 13 2014, 07:06 PM) Well, Mexes was horrible last time. He hadn't played for nearly 2 months and Bonera was being picked ahead of him when he was fit. A bit of a hit to form and confidence is bound to do that Aside from that game he's been our best defender this season and should still be the first choice

If anything, he should have been out there giving his best to prove his place. There have been other serious and grave mistakes and bad performances, but yes - he's the best defender out of a bunch of defenders reaching from mediocre to horrible.

Mediaset updated line-up: Abbiati; De Sciglio, Rami, Zapata, Constant; De Jong, Montolivo; Saponara, Honda, Taarabt; Balotelli.
Interesting, but...
Constant??? WTF?!
