The sister of AC Milan's new striker Ricardo Oliveira has been kidnapped in Brazil according to reports from South America.

Details are still sketchy, but apparently two men invaded the home of Oliveira's sister, Maria De Lourdes Silva de Oliveira, in San Paolo, which she shares with her husband and 8-year-old son and abducted her early this morning.

There has been no report yet of any ransom demands, and the family is not releasing many details of the situation at this time. However, it is believed the woman's 14-year-old son, who has been linked in the past with drug trafficking, may have been involved with his mother's kidnapping.

Oliveira is flying back to Milan today from Seville. A Milan executive spoke with Oliveira, who appealed for unity from Rossoneri supporters during his family's difficult time.
