Found this on the official site -

Milan’s chief athletic officer, Daniele Tognaccini has been talking to the Milan Channel on the team’s preparation.

LITTLE TIME TO PREPARE – It’s not easy to work with such little time, the internationals come back on September 7. Anyway, everyone has done extraordinary work during this period. The World Cup winners have been an example to everyone with their enthusiasm. We did all we could to be ready for the preliminary round, that helped but we have never been in a situation like that before and we played 2 excellent games.

AMBROSINI – He’s a modern midfielder, unfortunately he has had a lot of injuries. He was in top shape last year then picked up an injury, a stupid one when tibia hit tibia in training. He’s back in form now.

THE PRELIMINARY AT THE SAN SIRO – We were fortunate to have all the data at our disposal. We aren’t worried about preparing for the season and we could use the date to gauge the players’ fitness. We are well ahead of the game and have enough data for five years.

MILANELLO AND MILAN LAB – Evertyone who comes to Milanello is impressed by the efficiency they find, there is nothing like it anywhere else. We manage the players as they are at that moment, ready for the game. For the youngsters we look at the long term, but it’s important that all the players have a good year.

CAFU – He came back from the World Cup in great shape. He pulled down incredible numbers on his first day back. We asked him to do the tests again. It was really incredible, a very pleasing surprise.

KAKA’ AND GOURCUFF – They are different in physique, the first is fast, the second, a great talent but still developing physically. They defend the ball well, Kakà better because he creates more space with the lower part of his legs, he’s difficult to get the ball off.

GILA – Even at Parma, Alberto needed time to find his form, a bit like Kakà. He has played two excellent games, plenty of running and excellent quality. I am sure he will have a splendid career, he scores and helps the team and is one of the strongest in the world at holding up the ball. Like Kakà, he needs time to get in condition, which is different to Inzaghi.

THE SEASON – We can’t work right to the end of the season, it’s a difficult situation. We have value things at intevals. We have to guage when to rest but we are not worried. There are lot of things to take into consideration, not just the ten days in August. My worry was picking up injuries in the preliminary round but it went well.

CARLO ANCELOTTI – Carlo is the secret of the Milan Lab, he’s one of us, we are always talking. He listens and comes up with the ideal situation.

I always love everyone that works for Milan. All the coaches and managers and trainers. Everyone single one them seem to have great personalities with positive attitudes. I remember Inzaghi saying that if it wasn't for the Milan managment, who always believed in him, he might have never recovered the way he did.

Too bad this STUPID Meani tainted our image with his idiotic actions. Hope everyone forgets about this whole thing as fast as possible!

Milanello rocks...it was the only reason I wouldn't have contemplated murder if Braida had indeed brought in Ronaldo....

Very interesting, this gauge techniques. It seems like we have gone back to the future .. It's great for them to know exactly how long a player can play for .. And most likely they can assess if someone is worthwhile or not.
