Berlusconi On Adriano: "I Hope We Can Strike A Deal With Inter"

Silvio Berlusconi revealed on this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport that he would enjoy having Adriano at Milan.

The Inter forward has been linked with the Rossoneri over the last few days, and the Italian media continue to hint towards a secret deal between the two Milan rivals.

The agreement, it is being rumoured, was already reached when Milan agreed to back out and let David Suazo go to Inter.

The Rossoneri (using the deal they had reached with Cagliari) allowed the Honduran striker to leave for Inter only in exchange for Adriano, and the two teams will supposedly be working out the financial details of the deal in these days.

Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi dropped a big hint today, admitting that he would be delighted if the move went through.

"It would be great if we can sign him!" he said. "I’ve always like Adriano and I think that he would enjoy it here.

"There are many Brazilians, and we are a big family.

"He could give his best with us. The same happened to Ronaldo. If we can reach a deal with Inter, I would like to sign him."

The Milan supremo also spoke of the Suazo affair: "It was Cagliari who offered the player to us.

"When we thought that it wasn’t possible to sign him, we backtracked, without bothering Inter."

I think whatever we do, it's impossible to please some Milan fans.

I've seen over this transfer window that the majority of you are against 'bad @ss' players like Cassano and Adriano, regardless of the talent they have. You only feel like getting 'good boys' like Kaka', Gila or whoever.

Sheva: Is not welcomes back by the majority.
Drogba: He's not even happy to stay at Chelsea and he starts every game, what's he going to do when we play the christmas tree and he's on the bench?
Adriano: He has this 'party boy' image at Inter, because they can't handle players. So you don't want him.
Cassano: Well, we all know about his attitude.
Ronaldinho: Whether with Milan, Barca, Brazil or anybody else, he'll do things when he wants, not when the club wants. With the money we'd have to pay up for him, one bad game and the fans would turn on him, no question.
Eto'o: If he doesn't play every minute of every game, he'll start stropping and fall out with the manager.

Any good player we bring in will have their problems, we could try and fix most of them. The only one people sems happy to bring in is R10 and he's about the most 'unfixable'. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Either we get a striker with problems, or another Oli. Cassano would be the best choices, they're both young, both available, and proven in Italy.

There aren't many good players about with a good attitude, which makes sense.

You look at any sport, 99% of the top players have an attitude problem. They know they can play, so they feel they can do/say whatever they like.

There aren't many 'professionals' around in todays game, none that are good enough to interest us anyways.

I think there are enough of them out there for us to complete our squad! I don't care what other teams need! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

NO RUSH OR FEAR

6/30/2007 7:19:00 PM

President Silvio Berlusconi has put the Milan fans at ease by stating that the club have time to sign a really top player

(IMG:http://media2.acmilan.com/200705/7211_news.jpg)

President Silvio Berlusconi has been speaking about the transfer market and the arrival of a top player. He said: 'Shevchenko is always in first place for me but Abramovich asks for too much. Shevchenko would have no problems returning and would be the ideal player to play alongside Ronaldo. Then there is Ronaldinho but I know it is an impossible dream because the Barcelona president is elected by the club members and he's said he couldn't remain in Spain. Eto'o is also difficult as there is a different fiscal situation in Spain which allows players there to have much more than ours.'

On Adriano and Cassano: 'I have always like Adriano a lot and we would get on with all the Brazilians at Milan. I would only come to agreement with Inter if there were no problems. I don't know Cassano as a person but he's very talented. We have never had any problems at Milan with anyone.'

Kakà situation: 'This story is tiring and we are fed up with Real Madrid. Kakà will not leave.'

On the defence: The heir to Maldini? We will find a young defender as we found Kakà in attack. Cannavaro? He was a youngster in the years of Costacurta and Maldini but we will be pointing to a youngster.'

On Gourcuff: 'We believe in this youngster, he could become the new Zidane. We were very interested in Emerson but his arrival could hold Gourcuff back.'

Same quotes from acmilan.com.

Fed up with Madrid? Do tell.

There can be no heir to Maldini... how could they ask such a question!?? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I like it that they believe in Yoann but I can't see how Emerson would hold him back!

This means that they will sign a young defender as everyone wanted, but a top defender, just like Kaka is a top attacker (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

No available ones that I know of.

But I quite like what I saw of Benfica/Brazil U21 David Luiz at the end of last season, although he did only played a dozen or so games, and I didn't see all of them. But I liked what I saw none the less.

I think he signed for Benfica in January(?), so I highly doubt he'd be available in the near future. But he's only 20, so even if we didn't get him anytime soon, he would still be young. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

EDIT: Scratch that, I just searched him up, he signed a five year deal last month. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

This is the reason Milan will eventually be full of South Americans.

You can't buy a top prospect in Europe without the likes of Barca/Real/Chelsea/United/Liverpool knowing about them, this will cause a bidding war, which Milan don't seem interested in.

This causes us to find lesser known players in South America, where, unsurprisingly, there are no Italian youngsters. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I'd rather worry about next season rather than about replacing an irreplaceable person! Milan WILL find a top defender to take Paolo's place... God will take care of it! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Of course all the interested parties will know, it ain't rocket science, it's rumors (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Then explain to me Milan's situation with Kaka and Shevchenko when those top clubs were all over them in a bid to bring them in ?

Ok .. This statement makes Milan look mediocre kind of like Villa (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

What ? Did you just recently began to cheer for Milan (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) If so, then I don't blame you ..
