if we dont sign new players for our "strong squad" then yess i dont see us finishing higher than 3rd.

k well bovious that will amazing if we defend our CL, but we still need to sign player if we wanna defend our title. teams will focus a lot more on shutting down kaka and it' possible, so he's not going to schore 10 goals 2 season in a row.

Fresh players and new faces are always good for the environment ... But I thought this team proved it's point, not just to us Milanfans, but to the WHOLE world that doubted this aging team (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

thats true but at the same time one of the main reasons we won was because of the signings during the winter, and i'm not too sure our season would have ended if it wasnt for them. we were playing horribly so ronaldo and oddo were big boosts. yes they prooved a point but "once saved, always saved" doesnt apply here because things can change very quickly. besides changes are a normal part of any team whether they are winning or losing.

Adriano has reiterated his desire to stay at Internazionale, but also revealed that if he did leave, then he would remain in Italy.

The Brazilian striker has been strongly linked with a move away from Inter after going through a difficult campaign with the Nerazzurri.

However, Inter supremo Massimo Moratti is keen for Adriano to stay and he looks set to remain.

"If Inter agree I would like to stay at the San Siro, I consider Inter my home," Adriano told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"If they were to sell me? I would set only one condition, I want to stay in Italy. I would accept their decision, but I would also ask to decide my next destination.

"In any case, I want to stay here because Moratti has faith in me and I want to prove him right."

Livorno grab Dhorasoo

After agreeing a deal for Francesco Tavano and Fausto Rossini, Livorno have also captured ex-Milan midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo.

President Aldo Spinelli had hinted at the next big signing in an interview with ‘La Repubblica’ newspaper this morning.


“A very strong midfielder of great prestige. There are too many vultures circling, so I can only confirm he is a famous French international.”


Now the media in Italy claim that man is Dhorasoo, a former Olympique Lyonnais and Milan player.


Although he featured in the 2006 World Cup for losing Finalists France, Dhorasoo was out of contract after he was sensationally sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in September.


The midfielder was booted out of the club for calling Coach Guy Lacombe “a liar” and has also launched vitriolic attacks on French boss Raymond Domenech.


This would be his return to Serie A after an unsuccessful season at Milan, where he made just 12 appearances in 2004-05.


During his time on the sidelines, Dhorasoo was linked with Bolton, Lyon, Parma and had a trial with Fulham.


Livorno have also reportedly signed Juventus youngster Francesco Volpe on a co-ownership deal after the striker returned from a loan spell at Ravenna.


It has been an exhilarating week for the Amaranto, who also picked up Tavano from Valencia and hitman Rossini from Catania.


“For Tavano we worked in silence and the news only leaked out once everything had already been signed, otherwise he would have been snatched away,” added President Spinelli.


“He is the ideal player to replace Igor Protti and partner Cristiano Lucarelli. We have finally found a Number 10 worthy of Protti.”

He was pretty impressive for PSG too, but he is probably in his mid 30's .. I used to like him, he was a great sub. Never complained, and when he was on the field, he was always full of energy and a great team player.

Tevez No Longer A Target, Chivu A Possibility – Moratti

Inter president Massimo Moratti has confirmed that the Nerazzurri will not be signing Carlos Tevez this summer.

Moratti is a known admirer of the West Ham striker, but the club’s signing of Cagliari star David Suazo has ended their interest in the Argentinian.

"Tevez is no longer a target, we are fine as we are in attack," Moratti confirmed.

Moratti went on to speak about AS Roma defender Cristian Chivu who the club are battling with Barcelona to sign.

"Is today the day for Chivu? They have been saying for two weeks that it's the day for Chivu, but I won't be meeting Rosella Sensi (Roma general manager) today," Moratti said.

"Talks are still open and Inter are ready to make their best offer. If it goes well we will be happy; if not, we're fine as we are. But Roma have to want to sell him first. No one is going to snatch him away.

"There are various clubs interested in the player, the one who makes the best offer will bring him home. We can all want things, but there are always economic limits.

"I will speak to Dr Sensi on the phone, and then we will see, but there's still a month and a half of the transfer market to go, and the Chivu matter is not tremendously urgent for us."
