Might as well Open a thread for the next transfer window. Obviously there wont be many rumors right now but when you hear of some it would be nice to post em here.

I guess we can start with what we hope our squad will look like e.i. players that will/should leave and which positions should be filled

Changes that I want

Goalkeeper
OUT:Dida or kalac out, the one that remains plays backup
IN: no.1 keeper (a must)

Defenders

OUT: maldini (retiring), seginho (retire already!), cafu (retire already!), favalli (retire already!)... no more 50 year old fullabacks (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)
IN: world class CB, 1 RB and 1 LB

Midfielders

OUT:Brocchi GTFO, ba... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) what is he even doing here...
IN: Right sided midfielder. Essien?(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Forwards

OUT:inzaghi should retire or ronaldo leave cuz we dont need two crippled forwards.
IN:1 WC forward

There is a high probability Zambrotta will arrive (finally). A world-class CB would be great, but unlikely.

if milan are content with 4th,5th,6th in the league then they wont get any world class players.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ?unless we win the scudetto then we need that world class player(s) if we wanna have any chance at winning anything next year.

and if we dont end up in the top 4 well it's even more of a reason to get that WC player.

Pato only played half of this year, so next season will be his first full season - so he'll kind of be a summer '08 transfer.

Who's betting they'll come up with something like this? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Being serious. Zambrotta would be great, a good Italian CB at a decent age (Not 28+). Anything else is asking too much from the board going on their recent windows.

My wish list:

- Barzagli
- Drogba
- Zambrotta
- Adler

A new, at least very solid, CB is existential for us. Barzagli would be my first
choice cause he's italian. Otherwise Sergio Ramos would be my, unrealizable, wish.
Drogba would be the best choice for our attack. He might be the best forward in the world right now. Plus, he's not always injured.
Zambrotta...well, we all know why we need him.
A new goalie would be very, very nice too. Leverkusens René Adler would be my first choice here.

What WILL happen? Zambrotta seems to be a very realistic transfer and a new CB might come in too. My other wishes will most likely be still wishes in the end of the next transfer window.

I'd agree with what LaPalma says. I've not seen much of Adler, but only heard good things about him. The other 3 are what we need to move forward. But as he said, they'll probably still be just wishes come September 1st.

I agree with La Palma's picks. Having watched a good deal of Bundesliga games, I definitely agree about Adler. The only thing not going for him is his age - he's quite young.

If we're talking fantasy picks, I'd also put out Giorgio Chiellini of the Zebras as a good pick. He can play CB and LB and he's good.
