QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Mar 26 2008, 11:23 PM) It's not to do with the creativity on the players in my opinion, we're using the same players as always and we've never struggled in that sense. It's that in terms of setting up a team, Capello does a great job at the back, but he doesn't seem to have a clue going forward. When you pick a team with 1 striker and a playing the ball to him from wide areas, it can't be Rooney, it just can't. You're asking him to do the impossible, he's only about 5'9. Hopefully we have alot of friendlies lined up because as much as I was pleased with his appointment, if he is going to play this same system, I'd rather us keep playing this badly so we can get rid of him before some important games happen. Capello is an incredible coach, and we all know that. We also know that England has such big problems in composing the team that will need time to fix. Thank God for them, they have 2 years until WC 2010 to fix problems. And as much as Capello is a great coach, dont expect from him to do wonders for just 2 matches in charge. He'll change England, I'm sure about that. Actually England are already playing more through the feet reather than air balls as they used to play under Mclaren (so some changes have already occured), and thats a good sign, for a start! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) In the first half today we played with the ball on the floor alot in Capello's 4-5-1 formation. We created nothing and Rooney was very isolated, we also lost the half 1-0. In the 2nd half we went back to 4-4-2 and the team looked more comfortable. I'd love to say Capello will do a good job, and he may. But on the showing today, his tactics will be unable to win games against good sides. He will do better than McClaren, but worse than Sven, alot worse, in my opinion. QUOTE (Nova @ Mar 26 2008, 10:56 PM) They are the Inter of the National Teams . They will never win WC or EC . Agreed. They rarely fail to qualify for tournements, and usually look great in the group stages in a tournement. But once they get to the knockouts, they just seem to throw it away. Much like Holland have lately.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Mar 26 2008, 11:42 PM) I'm watching the highlights now, it seems like a good game so far. Both goals were GKing errors though! Actually the one we conceeded was more of a positioning error by Robert Kovac. I've been following him this season in the Bundesliga and must say his form is terrible. He is the only chance for Simic. It was a watchable match most of the time, but to rough and many injuries in second half could cost us.

QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ Mar 27 2008, 01:05 AM) I agree 100% with you, they have an extremely weak mentality. The suffer from superiority complex and inferiority complex, usually in the same match. I'm pretty sure that a Catalan NT would be solid at least, and with a much better attitude on the game. You see, Catalans, Basques, etc. It's their biggest issue. One that never will be resolved.

I'm surprised no one talked about the coming champion so far...Germany (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG: http://p3.focus.de/img/gen/s/q/HBsqRnDQ_Pxgen_r_311xA.JPG) Switzerland was no match for Jogis eleven and thus lost 4-0 against us. Gomez scored his fifth and sixth goal in his 9th game for the Nationalmannschaft while giving one assist for Miro Klose. Even Poldi scored (and linked up really good with Super Mario). Lehmann was solid too. I'm certain he'll be between the posts at the Euro. To get rid of him now would mean a much bigger risk than not do it. He's not the Jens Lehmann he was two years ago, but besides the Czechs, Italy and Spain no team has a better goalie than him (waiting for the laughs (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ). But to win against Italy or France we need Frings back and Schneider must find his form again fast. Those two are irreplacable for us.
