I think he is a great talent. But I believe he's not confident of his potential yet... and Milan is not helping him work on that!

Definitely Seedorf's boyfriend ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

He needs time dst .. Just give him sometime, I have no doubt in my mind that he will excel at Milan.

He is not getting a chance ?? Well, we have just played 5 games in the league. And in those he has played one whole game. He will get his chance, I hope the next time he is on the pitch we will see a more confident Yoann (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Well, I would be devastated if Brocchi was picked ahead of me! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You really are fascinated with Seedorf, aren't you dst?(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think Gourcuff is very talented. The only thing I can really say against him is that he's still immature in a lot of ways. And he dives. Remember he got carded during Milan's home fixture v. Palermo last year. And the foul in the box during the Udinese game last May was...theatrical.

OOOps,...I voted for nothing special. Well, right now he is nothing special. I just cannot say that he is a supertalent based on what I saw till today (this is more my fault then Yohann's). He is nothing special cause of the small chances he gets, but also cause of his character. It seems to me he has confidence trouble. But I'm sure he'll get over that,...

Anyway,..I sometimes think Milan is a bit too much traditionlist. I know, I'm the first one who allways mentions tradition, but,..we are old fashioned, aren't we? Do world at Lyon, Barca, Real, etc. is right now full of trendy hyped teen-players. But what do we have? We have an old-fashioned Yohann Gourcuff who's nothing like Messi to make a double in his debut. He rather plays it slow,...a to-be-Zidane,..

Forza Gourcuff (that sound a bit weir, no? Avant Gourcuff is more,..)!

Oh and yes, the Duck will change things a bit,.. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

You are right on the money Fillipo. Gourcuff's problem is his confidence. He seems to be overtaken ever since he joined us. But I disagree that he is not special. He is very. If you remember how he played last year, he was an absolute joy to watch. He out-shined other players. He was somewhat a breath of fresh air. But then Ancelotti benched him again and that really got to him. He has not featured regularly for us since then and his confidence is on a descending slope. He needs to believe in himself first and foremost if he wants to succeed. He has a lot to prove yet. Forza Gourcuff! Yoann definitely is a true talent as we all have saw it on the pitch. BUT he is not confidence (hopefully 'yet') and he makes this lack of confidence quite visible in his reactions when he doesn't play the ball well. and Carlo never helped him at all to be honest, by playing him not next to Kaka, but as a replacement for Kaka (Siena game), that's not fair to put such pressure on him. he MUST play along with Kaka, Pirlo, Gattuso and [if possible] Seedorf.

I don't know whether he will be a success at Milan or not, but he IS talented.

Gourcuff had a fantastic start at Milan. He's clearly very talented.

Thing is - and I may be slated for saying this - he's displayed a tendency I do NOT like at all. Namely, he dives. Did it today (without being carded), did it last year against Palermo (DID get carded) and did it last year against Udinese to get the penalty that Billy took in his last game.

He seemed nervous and indecisive at times during today's game. I'm hoping that will get worked out as his playing time increases. Carlo needs to be brave and start him in a few more league matches, as it just seems wrong that he basically let Emerson waltz into the starting lineup only a few weeks after his arrival.

If not Serie A, Gourcuff should definitely start some Coppa matches, but with the way we're going, we'll be breaking out our regulars for that as well.

One more thing. Yesterday he scored an own-goal. Okay, sh@t happens and it was more Dida's then his fault. But his body language and his gesticulation at that moment was just annoying. I was really mad - his face expression said it all, he wasn't ashamed for a bit and he also wasn't sad. Maybe it's just a small detail but,.. Come on man... it's not like it was some Matrix-style own goal... the ball was going in anyway and he did his best to get it out... what did you expect from him afterwards, to get down and start crying?

I don't know what I expected, but I did not get it,...As I said it is a detail of minor importance, but still...
