QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Oct 12 2014, 03:48 PM) Muntari stats by coach^^ Pretty good site for any kind of statistical info if you're ever trying to find something. I don't know how truly accurate those are as his total appearances under Mourinho (starts + subs) would amount to nearly all of his appearances at Inter and he was there for 2(?) more years after Mou. Transfermarkt is hardly a bible for football, (neither is whoscored mind you), I just find them very accurate usually and personally I don't ever remember him being an important component of Mourinho's Inter, I do remember when he subbed him on late in a game and managed to get sent off within a few minutes.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Oct 12 2014, 08:27 PM) Just for the record I do rate Muntari and was not attempting to 'rile people about XYZ', hence my comment on this thread was valid because In My Opinion, however it is not in yours ... Welcome to the Milan Fan forums and if there ever was a pointless argument why are you enticing it with me? Talk about trolling (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) You call your posts about him not trolling? HA! That's rich, and you've done this not just with Muntari and many others have pointed it out, but because I no longer wish to engage you any further in this debate you tell me that I am trolling and you're only stating your "opinion"... Just take a look at your post that started this, the tone and wording are just begging for people to reply

Why do we feel the urge to continue long past discussions till everything sound like a broken record.
We're discussing Muntari now, Kurt has given us some interesting stats and tried to show how popular opinion and memory can be deceptive. Just hold on to that part of the discussion and forget the edgy parts. Please don't go into that trolling story: I'd like to think that all opinions are allowed and appreciated here, and there is NO NEED to engage a personal debate.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 12 2014, 09:53 PM) But it doesn't show the starts, does it? At least I can't find them. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) For the season by season, I'm not sure. It looks like it just shows the minutes. For the general overview, it shows total appearances and it also shows how many times they were subbed in. So starts would be 'total appearances - sub appearances'. For the 18 months after Mourinho, while he was still at Inter, it seems none of the coaches really fancied Muntari in their team. Benitez, Gasperini, Leonardo and Ranieri all seemed to not use him much. On one hand you could say it's because he's bad, but Leo aside those coaches hardly covered themselves in glory at Inter.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 13 2014, 01:38 AM) Except for the first two and last seasons, those are some pretty weak numbers considering it includes all competitions. The middle 2 are weak. But is that a bad thing for Muntari? First 2 seasons, he played pretty regular, won Serie A titles, including a treble/CL win. The middle 2, where he barely played, Inter sucked. The fact he didn't play much is probably more of an argument for him than against him. I do agree that it shows what we've become. Would he have enough been on the bench a decade or so ago? No way.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Oct 12 2014, 09:06 PM) And now you have a PhD in linguistics?
Sad isn't it? You finally find someone who rates a player you do not, and what you do? You go about implanting motives of me trolling? THAT is rich! Love how you're playing innocent about this when you were obviously looking for people to reply to you. And may I remind you that I wasn't the first one to bite on to the lure. It's just like when we're having a debate about Pippo or in the past Seedorf and you come in with your sarcasm about how Pippo is an idiot because most of us couldn't stand Allegri so obviously we're all dumb and can't see the good in a coach. QUOTE (KillerMax @ Oct 13 2014, 12:20 AM) Muntari in all club competitions: 08/09: 33 starts - 3 subs 09/10: 23 starts - 20 subs 10/11: 11 starts - 10 subs 11/12: 15 starts - 3 subs 12/13: 12 starts - 6 subs 13/14: 26 starts - 9 subs http://www.espnfc.com/He had 7 starts at Sunderland in 10/11 and his 11/12 numbers are mostly boosted by Allegri since we got him mid season, his last 2 seasons at Inter he got something like 2 and 3 starts respectively. His numbers in his first 2 seasons at Inter are strong, I have to admit that, but Mourinho also subbed him off something like 38 times in total over those 2 seasons
