Chelsea's official Twitter have confirmed we're getting Torres on a full-time deal, hope they've been hacked. |

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Oct 10 2014, 05:22 PM) No-one would drop Rooney. He's the best player they have. And this ladies in gentleman at this stage is why we are an ordinary National team. I've never seen the country so dis-interested in the National team, the attendances at Wembley have been horrendous since the pitiful WC campaign. First thing our NT needs to do is get full of that bunch of drips that refer to themselves as the England Band, it's embarrassing. Freshen things up, the English League in the main has awesome atmosphere throughout we don't need the rejected Salvation Army guys there making that hideous monotonous noise. They had the cheek to complain about not getting free passes to the WC, pay like the rest of us you bores. |

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Sep 23 2014, 11:35 PM) 9 goals in 4 games for Ronaldo. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) At this point there's no debate for 1st, it's just whether Messi is holding on for 2nd. For me Cristiano needs to play a lot better domestically, whilst Messi wasn't the greatest and it's still a joke he was voted player of the tournament in the World Cup he was FAR more effective than CR7. |

QUOTE (han2503 @ Sep 14 2014, 02:52 PM) Hmm, you really think he'll go back to United? Can't imagine him in another EPL club tbh Agree, think it would be between them & PSG (due to £££) if he were to move. United would be the obvious choice if they wanted to put the money down though they have far more pressing issues. Just seems very much similar to what went down when he wanted to leave United now. There's a fair chance imo at this stage that he will be on the move in the summer. |

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 30 2014, 06:31 PM) Costa, 1-0, 30 seconds. Loved how much the English media were calling him out before arriving because of Brazil, quite quiet on those predictions now aren't they (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

Fletcher is in the team for sentimental reasons, it's nice of them but hardly going to win them anything. Valencia is one of the poorest wingers going, but because he works hard he gets in the team.
Di Maria did alright, clearly not fit. Mata is still pretty average, that season at Chelsea looks more & more like a one-off.
Moyes was tactically superior to be fair. |

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 29 2014, 11:35 AM) I don't know what's worse, us wanting to buy him or United fans being genuinely disappointed at losing him!? Redcafe seems to believe he's a future England star and people that don't rate him "don't really see what he brings to a team". Haha, that's trash to be honest. People loved Makelele to bits over here because of what he did for Chelsea and he was hardly an illustrious flashy player. Makelele didn't just pass 3 yards sidewards because he was either scared or didn't have the ability to do anything else without messing it up! Wilshere a few years back was the same, granted he's had critics of late due to his dip in form but he's never going to be your flashy Messi/Ronaldo type either. |

I'm practically in tears, he's absolutely horrendous. You could grab a random 20 something off the street and as long as they were fairly in shape they would perform as well as if not better than him. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 28 2014, 09:21 AM) So now Bayern is the measure of things? A team with the Boateng-Dante duo and a Milan-age van Buyten? Really? Boateng isn't too bad imo, just inconsistent. Dante is an absolute liability. |

Di Maria only turned up consistently for the past couple of seasons, he was often irrelevant for games prior, I'm not convinced he's going to be a game-changer for United at all. |

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 24 2014, 07:05 PM) I think it's too early to call Shaw mediocre. He was phenomenal last season and injured at the moment, oh and he's not even 20. Exactly and he struggles with his waistline that's only going to get worse over the next few years. That's pretty worrying. |

QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 24 2014, 07:00 PM) How is this their biggest spending window?? They look the same as last season... If not worse (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) They choked £30m+ on a fat 19 year old, mediocre English left back & also bought Herrera. Oh & Rojo has joined but needs a permit which isn't secured to actually play (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

Worst game I've seen in a long time.
Cabella is a trick pony if I've ever seen one too, least the under 13's will love him. |

QUOTE (Danny @ Aug 18 2014, 04:54 PM) Utd linked with a £100M bid for Di Maria. Money has no value any more in football. None at all.
'Want that player? Sure! Let's just throw as much money at them as we can'.
Unless you're Milan of course. I can't see this happening, I see a knee-jerk coming but not this. If they're going to throw £100m at people they may as well go after Cristiano again. That's paper nonsense though if they're projecting that as a transfer fee. United are an odd one at the moment, everyone was expecting a big surge of transfers and they've actually been pretty poor again. Shaw was an ok buy but for £30m+? That's ridiculous. Herrera I'm still yet to be convinced by and again I think they overpaid. They are still an illustrious club I don't buy this whole they aren't in CL now so no one wants to go there. We're still in a generation where Manchester United have been and continue to be one of the biggest clubs globally in the world, they still have a lot of allure. Something is going on in the background though, most likely the Glazer's just aren't putting money back into the club. That team needs a lot of financial backing at the moment, it did with Fergie and it certainly does without, everyone could see that at the weekend. I can't see how their Exec can be so poor to not get anyone of note, all Cesc, Vidal, Di Maria, Kroos, Bale, Cuadrado, Strootman even dare I say it Cristiano have slipped through the grasp. You could be the worst salesman in the world and get people to United as long as you have financial backing. QUOTE (acid911 @ Aug 18 2014, 05:17 PM) Kurt and Ash are two examples here, there are many more that cry for even smaller clubs. Yeah, I feel for Dave who has a season ticket to the park to watch the local pub b-team (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

The team is far worse than last year too without Vidic & Evra, even Rio is an improvement on some of those defenders.
Aside of Januzaj & Rooney in fits & starts that United team is horrendous.
Also Herrera looks bang average, but he's little & Spanish so you can't criticse. |

Herrera looks questionable at the moment, all I've heard is praise for him. He seems to not want to be tackled too, goes over and complains every single time.
Januzaj and Young have been the only decent-ish players for United. |

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 13 2014, 05:05 AM) EDIT: Just saw the highlights and wow, what a cross for the first goal. Impossible to defend. Yep great cross from Bale, about the only thing he did all night. Ronaldo ran the show last night. James still getting used to things but that's to be expected, going to be hard for him to shine as much with Madrid as he did last month. |
