QUOTE Suazo Perfect For Milan - Ancelotti Carlo Ancelotti was obviously very happy with the purchase of David Suazo from Cagliari as he told the 'Gazzetta dello Sport' that the Hondurian striker was the perfect replacement for Samuel Eto`o' who was the first choice in the Rossoneri's shortlist. " Suazo is perfect, he's already a champion for Milan," commented Ancelotti about the new arrival. " I wanted Eto`o', but he's not for sale, even though I wouldn't mind another present. In the midfield we shall valorise Gourcuff." With regards to the new season, Ancelotti is targeting to win the Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup as he believes that the Nerazzurri are the favourites for the league title. " Inter remains the favourite for the Scudetto; our objectives are that of climbing on top of the world and winning the Champions League," declared the Rossoneri's coach who will be hoping to repeat the satisfactions of this past season. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=333275 Another present? He means... the attack - as he says "in midfield we shall valorise Gourcuff..."?

valorise= something along the lines of 'make a hero out of'. I hope everyone is happy. Carletto specifically seems to have turned down a mid-field option to do his valorising on Gourcuff. So much for Carlo being anti-youth. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Well, if we're going to get a FC Catalonia player who isn't a striker, I'd prefer Zambrotta or Deco (who is now rumored to be on the market). Edmilson? Er. I prefer even Kaladze to him.

Odd that you guys are all saying Merda for Deco (though I agree with Porty's assessment of his personality). I don't much like him though I think he's quite talented when he's not being a ****. The club I thought most likely to realistically go after him was Chelsea, who /need/ a #10.
As for Zambrotta, I'm holding out hopes that the 'unhappy wife' card may sway things in favor of a move, even if it isn't all that realistic.

QUOTE GALLIANI: 'No dispute with Moratti' 6/21/2007
ROME - 'There is no dispute with president Moratti and certainly we are not disrespecting anyone,' said Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani as he left a Federation meeting. As for Suazo, he added: 'If Suazo signs then our transfer market is finished. As for Inter, that's of the rules of the transfer market.' Well, now lets hope Carletto has improved the rotation system and that we dont get any injured players. Another nightmare season coming up (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
