ITALIAN SUPER CUP:

AC MILAN VS INTER MILAN

(IMG:http://media3.acmilan.com/uploads/news/images/pec12.jpg)

August 6, 2011

Beijing, China

This summer, the Italian Supercup - in which the Rossoneri have already secured their place by winning the Scudetto - is returning to the Far East: after the encounter between Lazio and Inter in 2009 (the Biancocelesti won 2-1), the trophy contested by the Serie A champions and the Italian Cup winners will be held in Beijing once again, on Saturday, 6 August 2011. The match between champions Milan and Cup winners Inter will take place in China’s National Stadium, the Bird’s Nest, the futuristic building constructed for the 2008 Olympics and a popular venue for international sporting events. The event will be organised by a Chinese company who will oversee all organisational aspects.

All aspects of the agreement, which has been ratified by the Lega Serie A, were approved by the Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing and the Italian Embassy in China.

Milan and Inter have never met in an Italian Supercup final before.

I like the way Blue opens threads. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Needless to say, blue is not the only color there, in the sprinkle. This along with the funky use of fun fonts, and we have a trademarked Blue match thread.

Yup, I'd rather stick with funky and groovy people than sour pusses! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) By the way, nice stadium, man. Really modern architecture. August 6 can't come soon enough. I'm sure we'll win this one, or at least we should, easily, as long as our defense sticks to its task.

Okay. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) I'm pretty confident, though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) And will be more so if Leo is still in charge up until that time. Sure, a lot may change from now till that day of the match, but I personally am not too worried. Having said that, I really do hope we win and get another trophy under the belt.

A title is a title, no matter if it is the CL, Scudetto, or a bunch of smaller cups and trophies!

We gotta win this one. Even if it isn't that important.

It's a SuperCup all over the world. I don't see why it should be different in Italy.

Don't you think it lost a bit of it's value during the few years? I mean, it's a SuperCup played far far away from Milan and Inter fans.

It's lost its value because it's been Inter-Roma for ages. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

But yeah, I don't like the fact it's played in Beijing. What's the point, really?
