QUOTE
Chelsea have threatened to take legal action over newspaper speculation linking striker Andriy Shevchenko with a return to AC Milan.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho had been reported in European newspapers allegedly talking about Shevchenko's future, but the Premier League club have made it clear he has not given any interviews and they are now in the process of considering legal action against the media organisations involved.

A statement from Chelsea read: "Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho totally refute any of the comments that have appeared in European newspapers regarding Andriy Shevchenko.

"The manager has not given any interviews to any media outlets on this subject and the club and Jose Mourinho are now considering legal action."

A number of stories, allegedly quoting Mourinho, appeared in European and English newspapers last week. The majority of them dwelled on the subject of Shevchenko's future at the club.

But Chelsea have consistently maintained that the Ukraine striker will remain at Stamford Bridge even though he has struggled to adapt to English football following his £30million transfer from AC Milan last summer.

at least their going after the right people and not trying to sue milan

These things happen every day... I see no point in them taking legal action against it.

I hope Sheva remains with the Blues.

This is apsurd...they act like they`ve been sleeping since the 90ties...

And this Mourinho guy, makes me... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) ...he would have never made it that far without the media - its his greatest asset.

Well, if they wanna sue,...let them sue the news. But we could do them same with "Marca", "As" and the othet bullsh@t reffering to the Kaka-Real deal.

One more thing...interesting how they say Chelsea and Mourinho...and don`t mention Å evčenko`s opinion on that.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Yeah, like they would ever try going up against Milan.

They know where they stand and where Milan stand in the ladder. They won't try to do anything.

Sheva is their problem, they made it their problem when they sickeningly persued him relentlessly. This is their mess to clean up and Milan have nothing to do with it
