Lucci, who is the agent for both Suso and Bertolacci in Casa Milan. He was in Roma HQ yesterday. Unsure if he's come in with an official offer for Suso. Suso renewed recently and we don't know if it is still a 40 MM release clause.

We're linked to Draxler. Also rumours Bacca might go to Villareal for cash plus Castillejo.

Looks like Kalinic may be out, headed to Atletico for 18-20M. If this happens ... good riddance!

(Possibly the most questionable deals from last summer. Turned out to be a complete waste of money, AFAIAC.)

It is now reported that he is going for 15 MM. Looks like we're giving a huge discount. Rumours were Atleti were offering 20 MM with option to buy or 15 MM with obligation to buy. We probably wanted to get rid of his wages too. But in general, it's cool. We need to let go of him ASAP.

Another report is that we might offload Andre Silva to Sevilla.

As with any young Italian CB, he gets compared to Nesta. But he was recognized as one of the stalwarts of the great Atalanta side we're seeing the past two seasons. And at 24 he's a regular starter. Juve bought him and loaned him back immediately, and in a way this is an exciting transfer for us. We're actually build a team with the cream of Italy's backline.

I'm happy for this transfer, because we're getting rid of a dude who now I'm intensely disliking as a posturing prick, in return for a top potential youngster who'll have a chip on his shoulder to prove.

As for getting Higuain, I earnestly pray this will go down as a repeat of when Juve threw out Pippo Inzaghi for the newer shinier Trezeguet.

But that deal is held up over a severance deal (more of a loyalty bonus) from Juve and in other areas over Higuain wanting better terms.

So anyone saw the game today? Your thoughts on the game - considering we're much behind our pre-season compared to Man Utd.

If Leonardo is the new SD, I can't see Rino staying. They had a massive fall out as player and coach, and later when he quit to join Inter it just got worse. There are stories they've put it behind them, but I'm really not sure.

Bonucci also linked with PSG. (That makes more sense to me.)

Apparently Milan are steadfast. We will give Bonucci plus cash in exchange for Caldara. And in case of PSG, the ask might be for Thiago Silva. I'm really happy we're sticking to our guns, but this is definitely hurting our training.

Meanwhile it looks like Leonardo might remove Rino and place Conte in charge. Conte wants to wait till he resolves his current contract situation it seems.

On a free or near-free I believe. As back-up to Suso. Also rumours of Immobile saying yes to us. And that Commisio deal is drawing to a positive close.

What do you guys think of the Falcao rumors?

I'd have liked someone younger. But playing Falcao would suggest a change in tactics no? Our striker in the 4-3-3 has been more of a link-up player than a pure bomber. So now do our two wide mids exist to service the striker? A bit like the old Chelsea under Mourinho.

It might bring the best out of Jack as he would essentially be our Lampard then with runs from mid. But Rino's comments are interesting. He really talks like he's got a plan. Let's see.

As for Li - the investigation from Rai sport sounds basically like a hatchet job on Berlusca (doesn't mean it is not true). Basically Li was a front for Berlusca to launder some cash and get his company into the black. That's the refrain.

I wouldn't put it past the old dog to play that trick - however it leaves doubts as to the future of the club.

News filtering out that Li has decided upon a minority share. And it will be to an individual and not a consortium. Eases out a lot of the worries I guess, if it can come through.

if we get banned from Europa, does that mean uefa cannot put transfer ban as we will not be in Europe?

All in all our management is in shock as well. Now i the decision will come suppose end of June then we go into appeal our transfer campaign will be in shatters

Also i am correct to believe that UEFA cannot dock league points from us? They can give Europe ban and have given transfer ban to Real and Athletico (but both were for some different reason of poaching youth players or something?)

A Europa League ban is the worst they can do. I doubt they will. They need the money we bring in. My guess is a fine and some transfer restrictions in terms of the squad size. Again, for Europe.

Meaning we could buy top players, but we won't be allowed to play them in EL or something. I believe Inter had that situation with Kondgobia.

Personally, I don't want us to play EL, and would rather we go all in for CL qualification. I think having just one tournament to focus on, is one big reason why Inter could qualify for CL over the others.

Very strange feeling. I've never imagined him taking over such a "guerrilla" club/team.

Me neither. But truth be told, over the past year he's been pushed into the tier 2 of coaches. People are wondering if he really is the guaranteed winner that almost all big clubs want. So this is a great chance for him to re-invent himself and establish something.

From Napoli's perspective, a deep run into the CL plus a coach who can attract top talent will be interesting for sure. I doubt they brought in Carlo to challenge for the league.

As things stand, one of Sarri or Conte will be available next year. I like it, in case the Gattusso project for the new season goes South.

Apparently, we might go the legal route and claim that UEFA are being unfair with their ruling. We could go to CAS.

Wow. Hakan as a #10 and we didn't miss Suso at all. Maybe there is something to Rino saying he just doesn't have the time to implement options other than the 4-3-3.

Let's see what happens in the market next season.

All in all, I rate this season a 6.5/10. We've gotten some good talent for next season and with the right 2-3 buys, we should be able to challenge for CL next season. I believe we have 4 CL spots next season right?

I agree. Except for Kessie who's been a no-brainer a lot of players have flopped. Biglia, Kalinic, etc. Hakan been the only one who's improved. But that's been offset by RR regressing. Conti is probably not his fault. Was impossible to plan for him being absent. But that isn't why we're struggling for Europe.

Good. Another Tier 2 player is probably not the answer. We need tier 1 players who'll bench our current XI. Even if it means we only buy one-two players a season for the next 2 years.

And I think I'm upset with Bonaventura. It's gotten to the point where it's beyond poor form and I'm imagining a consipiracy theory with his crooked agent to force a move out. Super irrational I know... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I thought X-Off raised an interesting point about Suso disappearing defensively. Rino sort of touched on that point in his post game interview, when he said he asks too much of his offensive players.

Do you guys think Rino's excellent (by our previous standards) defensive organization comes at the cost of offensive thrust. Since our main offense down the wing often has to track back, they lack the legs/positioning to launch creative or incisive attacks. If so, what's the solution?

These are the last 10 games for us, Inter, Lazio and Roma

We're 9 behind Roma and 8 behind Inter. I still believe we have a 20% chance to get the job done. Winning that derby would have elevated those chances to about 60% but alas, it wasn't to be and we stopped Inter from gaining even more headway when we could have easily lost.

So I hope Gattuso can re-group the team. We need a lot to go our way, it doesn't just depend on us but the 2/3 teams ahead of us. But I still believe, Gattuso has restored that within me as a Milan fan and I'm eternally grateful.

4 months ago, we'd have laughed off any chance of us still being in contention as we all believed the season to be over and we weren't even hopeful of a EL spot. But this is what Rino has brought to the table for us. So I'm very happy to see the news about his renewal. He deserves it imo.

If F&M can give him 3 top players to work with next season he can do something special

So much this. The way to build bench strength and something B&G got wrong is that you need to buy first XI players who will replace or at least challenge your current first XI. That's how you know you'll always have quality from your bench.

What are you three positions for top players?

For me - CF, LW/RW, LCM.

I'd go so far as to say- we need both a left and right winger. One should be top class, shoo-in in the first XI and the other should be some kind of exciting youngster. But I don't have any names. My scouting is way behind how it used to be.

Yes, but the article I read clearly states there is no criminal suspicion at the moment. It is a routine investigation done. I imagine to pre-empt financial frauds/crimes.

We need pace on the left wing and a forward. The midfield can last us one more season before we need an upgrade.

I've seen too much of this team's inconsistency to believe any game is easy. This is the Milan that beat Verona 3-0 in Coppa Italia and then proceeded to lose 3-0 in the league with a stronger team. So I'll continue to be suspicious.

Arsenal are a strong team that are playing badly. They might pull off a Milan 2007 on us, so best be careful. I want us to win because I really want us to build some credibility in Europe again. We're favourites on paper, but we're one in-form striker away from me being confident of a win. You can't win in Europe on just defence. You need to pump in the goals and we aren't doing it.

I agree with X-O. I think it's too excessive. We had players pass away suddenly or unexpectedly in the past as well. I don't recall however that all games were canceled. I mean surely the players of Fiorentina and Udinese are under shock. But the other teams? I really don't know.

His impact was much more I think. He was an Italian NT player, Florence captain and had played for or been team-mates with quite a lot of the Serie A team players. Plus I heard he'd become a father just recently again. Which would be terrible news.

I would have loved for us to have a rest, but I'd have preferred another method and not through this.

Anyway, onwards to Arsenal. Really nervous about this one, because they will be really looking to make a statement and they have the quality. Plus, they only have the Europa League to play for if they wish to make it to UCL next season.

Listen to you guys, saying a draw in the derby would be OK! Are you serious? We gotta win that sh*t at call cost. Because it's the derby, because it will bring us to 3/4 points from the CL spots, and because Inter are in total shambles right now whereas we're doing fantastic.

I can't see how anything other than a win would be acceptable.

Admire the spirit, but Vinny Montella's adjustments or rather lack of it fucked us over too good for us to realistically say not getting CL is a failure. Let's be honest - at this moment CL qualification and a trophy will make it a super successful season. Whereas just a trophy and EL qualification at the very least, make it an improvement over last year, with a few guarantees. Our defence finally looks sorted. Our new recruits have been mostly bedded in. Our forward line is still **** and can't be led by an 18 year old forever.

I'd love a victory over Inter. Purely because it's a derby. However we still end up 4 points away from the last CL spot even if all the other teams lose. All it does is further cement our EL spot. Realistically, to have a chance of CL, we need to go unbeaten with a lot of wins till the end of the season. And we need Inter and Roma to continue to suck. I don't see that happening. Especially beating Napoli and Juve. We're just not good enough (yet).

I'll take a trophy and EL places. Even 5th.

I will take a draw happily in the derby if we can stuff the **** out of Arsenal in the Europa League. The English commentary was atrocious for this game. Just talking smack. I want us to beat them so bad now.

But I don't know. I don't think there's anything left in our player's legs. They've left everything out on the pitch.
