AC MILAN OFFICIAL PRESS
28/08/2010

MILAN - AC Milan announces that it has acquired from FC Barcelona footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, on loan with the right of free option to be exercised at the end of the season 2010-2011 to 24 million euros. The Swedish champion will support a medical on Monday morning, after which he will sign a contract that will tie him to the Company Rossoneri for four years.

I feel nauseated at the thought of him in a Milan jersey but....Forza Milan.

Finally Milan's gonna have the edge over Inter and the rest of Italy again. FINALLY! Long time waiting for this. LONG TIME. cool.gif

I don't Fininvest play around with cash. People and the board know what they're doing. They've just acquired one of the best fowards in the world for 24M/euros (Inter got 46M + Eto'o last year for him). Trust them.

Wait until he wears our shirt for the first game. Then work it out. Do not do any sig with Sweden or Barca(!!!) shirt - it's just wrong.

So guys, what number you think he'll use? #11? #99? #81?

Hopefully not the #11 since that number hasn't been particularly nice to the players wearing it in recent years, not since Crespo at least.

Also hopefully it's not a ridiculously high number, like Dinho and Antonini have

Welcome Ibra, the fact that he used to play our fierce rivals mean that I can't really say I cheer for him right now. But it does make some seriously sick attacking force for us. I think he'd enjoy playing with Ronaldinho since both of them are very skillful and possess creative flair. One thing for sure, Milan will be taken seriously once again! Forza Milan.

FINALLY! HE'S OURS!
8/28/2010 9:29:00 PM

Milan and their new star are writing history. After Amsterdam in the summer of 2001, after the San Siro in 2003 and after that summer in 2006...

After Ajax, where he became an important player, after Juventus, his first Italian club, after Inter and Barcelona here he is, at Milan. We were close to getting him on more than one occasion... and today it finally becomes reality. We are at the happy end of a splendid negotiation conducted by Adriano Galliani, with the support of president Berlusconi. There were no ball and no goals in this match between Galliani and president Rosell, but it really was like the Milan CEO had played a great European football game in the past few days.

He always had everything neccessary to become one of ours, the premises were there... Class, technique, character. Better later than never, of course, but strange that Zlatan Ibrahimovic became a Milan player at the age of 28, and arrived only in 2010 at what could have been his home for years.

The first meeting was fatal, but at that time nothing came out of it. Summer 2001, four-team tournament at the Amsterdam Arena. Besides Ajax, Milan, Liverpool and Valencia are present. The first game is played by none others but Ajax and Milan. Rui Costa and Inzaghi wore the Rossoneri colours on the international scene for the first time. Milan wins thanks to a goal of the Portuguese playmaker, but at the end of the match Costacurta exclaims: “Have you seen that guy called Ibrahimovic?! He seems to be the new Van Basten...”.

The ball doesn’t stop rolling and in April 2003 Ajax and Milan meet again. This time not in a summer friendly, but in the quarterfinal of the Champions League. 0-0 is the final result of the first leg, played in the Netherlands, in which Pirlo and Seedorf get injured. With a patched-up midfield, but having Pippo and Sheva up front, Milan seems to be on the verge of elimination after having levelled the score twice. There’s a sparkling battle between Nesta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic... in the end Inzaghi decides the game and sends Milan to the next round.

And then, the summer of 2006. Without mentioning the outrageous injustice and deep bitterness regarding the off-field events, the night of August 9 is fundamental. After Milan’s 1-0 victory against Red Star, in the Champions Leage preliminary, the Rossonero Club is ready for the decisive assault to get Ibra. But Oriali is first to the player. And finally today... Welcome champion! We have long been waiting for you!

We have best attack in world, says Milan´s Ibra

29 August 2010

Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, seen here on August 8, arrived in Italy ahead of his medical with AC Milan, and declared that he will form part of the best attack in the world.

ROME (AFP) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived in Italy on Sunday, ahead of his medical with AC Milan on Monday, and declared that he will form part of the best attack in the world.

The 28-year-old agreed a switch to the rossoneri from Barcelona on Saturday on an initial one-year loan, leading to a 24 million euro permanent transfer.

And upon arriving at Milan's Linate airport, with wife Helena and his two children, he spoke of his excitement at the prospect of teaming up with Brazilian forwards Ronaldinho and Pato.

"I've come here to win things and I'm sure we will win. I won't leave this team until we've won everything," the big Swede told Sky TV cameras.

"In my opinion we're the best in Italy and amongst the best in the world.

"On paper (our attack) is the best in the world and our fans are definitely going to have fun in the stadium."

Ibrahimovic is due to go to the San Siro to watch Milan's opening Serie A game of the season on Sunday night against Lecce.

"Finally I'm here and I can just think about football. I'm disappointed not to be able to play today (Sunday), I'm really motivated," he added.

"I hope to score even more goals than last year. I dream of scoring in the Champions League and winning all the trophies that I've already won but more than anything I want to be happy.

"Once I heard Milan were interested in me I was very emotional because there aren't many teams like Milan."

Ibrahimovic scored 20 goals for Barca last season but was still widely considered to have under achieved.

The season before that he was top scorer in Serie A for Milan's bitter city rivals Inter Milan.

And both Ibrahimovic and his agent Mino Raiola pointed the finger at Barca coach Pep Guardiola to explain the Swede's short stay in Catalonia.

"I didn't think things were so bad with the philosopher (Guardiola)," said Ibrahimovic.

Raiola added: "The idea (for this transfer) came from Guardiola, it became clear that the club wasn't able to resolve the problem that only Guardiola knew about."

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, who spent four days in Barcelona to seal the deal, said of the attack: "It's an attack with a lot of fizz, I'd compare it to champagne.

"He's a very important player, I think he'll gel perfectly with Pato and Ronaldinho.

"Now on a technical level we're amongst the best teams in the world and we'll return to our natural position as a team competing at the highest level."

Last season Milan were a distant third in the league and were humbled in the Champions League by Manchester United 7-2 on aggregate.

Who cares about what Kaladze says? I don't even understand why they even bother to sit down with him for interviews. Ibra on the other hand is a big name and with his agent at his side he could make us look very bad

Also CL trophy won't happen, at least not while Ibra is a Milan player

Um, I guess welcomes are in order then, now that everything is official. smile.gif Hopefully to a 20+ goal season for our newest star.

All said and done, some fans may consider this just anther plaster job (rather than signing two or three players for key positions to strengthen the team), but I'll be damned if I don't say this is one bigass plaster. Doesn't really cover our weaknesses, instead doubles our attacking strength. I think we'll do fine on all fronts this season, provided our key players stay fit.

Would I have taken Dzeko and Krasic instead? Probably. But Ibra is still at his peak, and the amount we got him for is an absolute steal. Criminal, in fact. cool.gif Deal of the season, if not the transfer. One of our best marceto since 2001 when we got Nesta and Rui Costa if I remember correctly. A bucketful of players, youth and a superstar signing. And besides, I would rather have a Milan with another champion player than one without (pesky attitude and prickly agent withstanding).

Sweet as KaPaRo was, both versions (the 5-2 Napoli winning one with Ronaldo that lasted one match, and the other one with bucktooth), it was damn short. Here's to IbPaRo. One that leads us to both the CL and Scudetto, in due time. May your time here be good, Ibrahimović.

Milan's new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic has fired a broadside at former club Inter and their captain Javier Zanetti.

The Swedish striker made a shock move back to Italy over the weekend, returning to San Siro on loan with a view to a £24m transfer next summer.

Ibrahimovic showed no hesitation in joining Milan even though he spent three years with their bitter rivals Inter.

Javier Zanetti said that given the person Ibrahimovic is, he really wasn't surprised by the move.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibra said: “Inter are going down their own path, they don't need to think about me.

“But until Ibrahimovic arrived, they hadn't won anything. I expected something of this nature from Zanetti.

“I would have spoken well of Ibrahimovic in his place.

“The train moves on. I spent three very beautiful years in Nerazzurro, but now I am only thinking about Milan, so I will play the derbies to win them all.

“In the next four years this team can win everything and I put myself at the service of my team-mates to get the maximum. The personal objectives come afterwards.

“We are among the strongest attacks in Europe with Ronaldinho and Pato. And don't forget Borriello and Inzaghi.

MILANELLO – Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after finishing all his medical exams, left Milan’s training centre at 16.10 CET. Ibra then headed for the airport to fly to Sweden and join the national team. The Scandinavians first host Hungary on Friday, September 3, then San Marino on Tuesday, September 7, as qualification for Euro 2012 gets under way.

Posted by: Lippi Aug 30 2010, 04:54 PM

I predict now Ibra will be man of the match if he get to play the derby.

Posted by: Danny Sep 2 2010, 03:30 PM

I'm not absolutely sure what I think of this signing, but I'm happier with it than I was with KJH. Ibra is a genius on his day but all too often flatters to deceive.

I hope we see the very best of him more often than the rest of him.

Posted by: elcordobez Sep 3 2010, 08:13 PM

I was watching Sweden vs Hungary.

The stream died @ 40mins
Frustrating game to watch, the gulf in quality between Ibra and the rest of his team mates just made it even worse, those guys can't string 3 passes together, but Ibra worked really hard,he tried to link up with everyone, created every scoring chance they had.Didn't really get on the end of anything but there's really no service for him in that team.

If we see him utilizing half the work rate he used in this game he'll have a fantastic season.

AC Milan new boy Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suggested he snubbed a possible move to Manchester City during the transfer window.

Ibrahimovic joined Milan initially on loan with a view to a permanent move last week after an unhappy spell at Barcelona.

City were reported to be interested in signing the Swedish international after Barcelona made it clear they were willing to offload the skilful attacker.

However, Ibrahimovic has revealed he was not interested in a move to City as he does not feel they are ready yet to challenge for major honours unlike Milan.

"City must fight Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal - sides which took years to build," said Ibrahimovic.

"City are still a side for the future. I chose Milan because they are a team that can win prizes now.

"City can wait for the future but I can't."

Problems
Ibrahimovic insists he had no choice but to leave Barcelona after falling out of favour with coach Pep Guardiola.

"The problems began in March. I asked for an explanation, but he did not give it to me," added Ibrahimovic.

"I couldn't take it. I had no choice but to find a new place of work and I was lucky to go to a club like Milan.

"I will soon be 29 years old and cannot afford to lose a year sitting on the bench and watching the weather. I saw what happened last season with Thierry Henry."

I am still kind of on the fence on this one, undoubted talent, but getting tired of reading about players making digs at ex-employers and such. But also what press stories do you believe?

What i see in this report is that he wants to win, win games, win titles, and that should mean he understands that team and individuals have to work hard and together to make that happen, so i am quietly optimistic again smile.gif

Ok, just got home from the Sweden - Hungary game. Sweden wins 2-0. Ibra played 90 min, wasnt planned since he isnt matchfit for a full game yet, but Sweden had 3 injuries so was forced to play the full time.

Grade 4/5.

Had a free role, worked alot down in field and opened up the pitch with deep passes. Had 3-4 amazing clean thru-balls that should have resulted in at least 2 goals with a good striker taking the passes.

Had 3 good scoring chances, and you can tell his timing is still not 100%.

Was still the shining star in the game with some nice heelpasses between the legs of Zoltan Gera etc.

Was motivated, ran ALOT, and egged on his teammates alot.

In the interviews preceeding the game, and also after he was very open about being somewhat behind in matchtraining since all the transferchaos, but also he is more focused and hungry than I have seen him in quite some time.

When he comes back to Milan, I think you will have a nice season, and Pato will be getting some amazing passes for his runs. Pato is just gonna love Ibra this season

It's R80's actions that confuse me. As if to say, ROFLMAO...dude??!!

I imagine, someone pulled a prank on Ibra that Ibra got annoyed by...and then somone told him it was Rodney(not true, judging by Rodney's reaction). So he was pissed.

Posted by: elcordobez Sep 15 2010, 07:25 AM

I'm not so sure R80 saw it.

Seemed like he was just saying "Hi"

But bodily harm on a teammate when the squad is already thinned by injuries is not cool...won't be surprised if Rodney got a bruise on his back as a result,Ibra is a beast.

Ibrahimovic: 'A wonderful evening'
Wednesday 15 September, 2010

Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw a “perfect second half” against Auxerre with his first two goals in a Milan jersey.

“We suffered under the aggression of our opponents, but it was a perfect second half,” said the Swede.

The Rossoneri had been woeful for the first hour, but Ibra netted twice in three minutes for the 2-0 Champions League victory.

“It was a wonderful evening. After the break our focus changed and we played so much better.

“This was my first game at San Siro for Milan and I really wanted to do well. I always want to win, every time.”

Can anyone translate the whole youtube thing? Don't understand post when Sacchi says it's just a compliment.

Well, Sacchi was complementing Ibra for last night's game. Then Ibra came in for the interview and started bashing Sacchi in a very rude manner. Sacchi tried to explain he was only giving his opinion when he was asked for, in a polite and correct way, but Ibra wouldn't listen to anything. I'm with Sacchi on this one, Ibra crossed the limit. It was very embarrassing listening to the whole thing. sleep.gif

Nah, that was more of a joke from Sacchi. Ibra didn't get angry because of that, but because Sacchi has been very critical of him in the last two years or so.

Why should someone (Zlatan?) be what his father is and not his mother? Why is one parent's blood more important than the other's? If you are born and raised in one country, then that is the country that is familair to you more than any other country in the world. (Now it would have been different if you move to one country in your twenties, and then decide to play for that national team.)

That shouldn't be a fact to determine what you are.

There's a bigg difference between Citizenship and Nationality.

For ex. I'm Citizen of Kosovo but I'm Albanian.

X-Off lives in Italy so it's Citizen of Italy but his parents are Albanian (I guess). So that makes him Albanian.

Regarding the interview with Sacchi....Clearly Ibra was very upset when he finally got the chance to talk straight to Sacchi he told him what he have saved up for a couple of years now.

Posted by: CHU-LIP Sep 16 2010, 06:38 PM

It's good to see Zlatan scoring twice against Auxerre. Pato already was on a roll with scoring goals. Unfortunality Pato is out, so we rely on Zlatan goalscoring now, hence why it's good he scored twice yesterday. Ronaldinho gave two assists kinda (first one was Boateng but Ronaldinho did the nice long ball), so Ronaldinho and Zlatan seem to match. smile.gif That's nice. With Robinho instead of Pato, Zlatan can be the CF lots of the times during the match. Normally we were screwed without Pato, now there's still hope.

As for the nationality debate, we've had it close to a million times here, no one ever comes to a middle ground on it. I personally agree with d'Arc. Sure you can live in a country all your life but no one can deny who they really are, their heritage, their family, I am Maltese, if I lived in for example England all my life, I'd still call myself Maltese. A lot of people in the past used to imigrate from Malta to Australia. They still call themselves Maltese and so do their children who were born and raised in Australia.

Ibra might have lived all his life in Sweden, but he's half Croatian, half Bosnian imo, no matter which NT he chose to play for

He has every right to choose, we're not living in medievil times here. Having said that, I still consider him to be half Bosnian, half Croation, because that is where his roots lie, and as I said, you can't deny your heritage, no matter how much you run from it.

I have Yugoslavian roots in my family, in fact we still carry the surname, it's from before World War 1, Sailors used to come in and get married to Maltese women, that's part of my heritage, even though I call myself Maltese, I still don't deny that part of me either.

Well, as someone who is living next to the Swedes, I can tell you that what Filippo said is perfectly true.
Zlatan has a "take-no-sh*t" mentality that's very common among the immigrant population of his 'native' city, Malmö, and there's nothing racist in pointing that out.

Alright then, I'm too tired to post a fully renditioned arguement here, but I basically don't think that the Balkan issue is as simple as Serbs = bad, the rest = good. But by all means I'm not condoning anything Slobodan Milosevic and his butchers did to the Bosnians and Kosovo-Albanians during the 1990'ies (though I must say I find the whole "America are attacking muslim countries because they hate all muslims"-arguement even more stupid than it already is considering America was the only country to actually react when the Serbs slaughtered 250 000 muslims in the Balkans).

1. Me too tongue.gif

Who said that? America is the best thing that happened to Albanians and entire Ballkan.

The history doesn't begin in 90'st.

Slaves camed in Ballkan from IV-VI century. Illyrians were native people...

So everything begin then.

But since we're talking about 90's and Serbia. In 90's Croatia Slovenly and Servia were together. Kosovo, Bosnia, Montenegro etc.. were under that state (but their will was to be independent).

We'll continue this in off topic thread if you want, I can see you don't know the whole story biggrin.gif

IDK about u guys,
but I consider myself more European than Korean.

Maybe it's got do to with the fact that I was raised by people other than my parents (since they worked pretty much 24/7)...

I guess it depends on your environment,

if you're born in Sweden, go to a Swedish school, have mostly Swedish friends, you're more Swedish than anything else.

if you're born in Sweden, go to a Swedish school, but also have surroundings of Croatian and Bosnian people, with whom you spend 50% time, you'Re both Swedish and Bos/Croat.

Naturally. It has to do with the 19th century and problems which were inherited and simply amplified in the 1990's. Who's fault it was, the war? Serbias, that's sure. But the only totally innocent country is Slovenia, all the others sooner or later dragged themselves into some kind off ethnic war that caused sever trauma for the whole region.

America did what the EU could not, which is why I never will belive in the EU and their politics.
But yes, it is a very complex debate, sorry for offtopicing.

Sacchi hits back at Ibra

Arrigo Sacchi has hit back at Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic telling him that he must learn to respect other people.

Ibrahimovic attacked Sacchi in an interview on Mediaset following Milan's victory over Ajax on Wednesday evening.

The Sweden international striker caused a real stir by advising the former Milan Coach to shut up.

Writing in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sacchi said: “Ibrahimovic got his timing wrong.

“I certainly haven't argued with him and I am only limited to respond with the utmost calm that it's my right to express an opinion while clarifying that I have never offended him and I have never lacked respect.

“But perhaps Zlatan was tired after the match or maybe even badly advised. Perhaps he didn't even know of the great affection and the great respect with which Berlusconi, Galliani and the Milan fans honour me.

“Perhaps Ibrahimovic is offended because last year, I wrote and I said that Barcelona had signed the best soloist in the world as far as power, technique and physique are concerned, but that a soloist finds it difficult to fit into an orchestra.

“But I added that if Guardiola were to manage to make him play more with the team and for the team, something fundamental in modern football, he would have become the greatest player in the world.

“Without any rancour, I wish him the best and invite him to show greater respect towards technical opinions, especially if they are expressed by someone who has done something in football.”

I haven't seen the original interview,
but I guess the thinly veiled insult (?) about his feet hurt his feelings. Maybe he got mobbed because of his size in school...

Sacchi is a legend, but I think he shouldn't throw around words like respect in a negative context.
We haven't seen Ibra making troubles yet, and until then, I will reserve my judgement on his supposed lack of respect for legends, coaches and elders smile.gif

Posted by: Bluesummers Sep 18 2010, 01:25 AM

ah football, will thy ever change laugh.gif

This arguement is old in the sense that it happens everywhere. Its one generation of football arguing with another. Both have different ideas of how things should be and both will never agree.

Ibra is right to say what he said to sacchi because sacchi has no right to talk and comment on anything he feels like. He acts like he runs the show here still. Kryuff is no different. Both open their mouths spew a bunch of negative bs that rarely helps anybody. Sacchi often critizes milan, while kryuff critizes anything not barca. Its a big joke really. Both should stfu and mind their own business. They are done and part of a past legacy of football that no longer applies.

The only thing I disagree with it is the way he went about it. He could have been a little less nasty but Sacchi had it coming.

ESPN SoccerNet

QUOTE
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has urged Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri to play Filippo Inzaghi on a more regular basis this season, as he feels that they can forge a very strong partnership together up front.

The veteran striker was in sensational midweek form, scoring a brace as a second half substitute, to give Milan the lead over Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Ibrahimovic, who believes he has more freedom with Inzaghi alongside him, desperately wants his coach to play the veteran ahead of the Brazilian trio Pato, Ronaldinhdo and Robinho.

"Pippo is incredible," Ibrahimovic said. "He deserves to play more often because he is doing well, and when you play well, you should start. Plus, I feel more freedom when I play with him, whereas when I'm with the Brazilians, I'm forced to play inside the box."

Wtf, I'm thrilled for Pippo to break the records, and I think he should play a little more, but this is ridiculous.

Milan suspended training this afternoon after Zlatan Ibrahimovic got into an ugly fight with his teammate Oguchi Onyewu.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Ibrahimovic made a dangerous sliding tackle on the United States international defender, who reacted furiously.

Onyewu has only just returned from a serious knee injury, which kept him out of action for the entirety of last season.

Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri suspended training after the two players couldn't be separated.

Around 30 fans witnessed the fight, prompting Allegri to take drastic action.

It remains to be seen whether the two players will be sanctioned for causing such a scene.

After all, it's not the first time Ibrahimovic has rubbed his teammates up the wrong way since joining Milan.

He was caught on camera directing a Taekwondo kick at Rodney Strasser for no apparent reason.

-Unacceptable (but not surprisiing)

Posted by: servbot Nov 5 2010, 07:57 PM

To be honest I find the comments to be much, much worse than getting into a fight at practice.

While not a good thing, fights during intense practices seem to happen from time to time in sports, and sometimes is just the result of two players giving perhaps a bit of a stronger effort than necessary and mixing it up. It sounds like that might have been the case.

No, he doesn't mean Robinho, cause Robinho plays as a trequartista in our system and he works and runs a lot, more than Dinho. I think he was talking mainly about Pato, though. And yeah, I agree he shouldn't be making such statements, but nonetheless, he's right.

Sounds to me like Gooch started it in all honesty. I'd have to see Ibra's tackle first.

As for the comments....well he better score this week.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 5 2010, 09:59 PM) *
No, he doesn't mean Robinho, cause Robinho plays as a trequartista in our system and he works and runs a lot, more than Dinho. I think he was talking mainly about Pato, though. And yeah, I agree he shouldn't be making such statements, but nonetheless, he's right.

Robinho has never really played as a trequartista for us, it might be layed out that way in the drawn formation and he might start the game in that position, but it always turns into the 4-3-3.

Also I don't think he's right. Pippo is selfish, Ibra is selfish, can you imagine those 2 trying to play full matches together. Pippo scoring twice had nothing to do with Ibra, in fact it was in spite of Ibra, Ibra did his best to mess every good opportunity he had up, the 2 great chances in the first half, and the cross/shot he tried to make before our first goal, had Casillas not made a meal out of it that wouldn't have turned into a goal.

Imo Ibra needs to be played in a 4-3-1-2 as the SS to Pato. Now if Robs plays then that turns into something that will transform into a 4-3-3, simply because Robs likes the wings, if you play Dinho or I would even go as far as to try Pirlo out, then it would be a classical 4-3-1-2 with the man in the hole feeding the strikers. It worked great in both games before the Real game. Also people are making too much of a big deal out of Pato's form which imo is 100% linked to the way we're playing

So how come last season, when we played a 4-3-3/4-2-1-3, Pato did fantastic (on the wing) until he got injured? The kid can't even dribble 1-on-1 anymore, let alone make the difference. It's not only about form and/or playing style, it's also very much about mentality. Pato plays as if he's an already established world class striker, which leans him to have a rather reluctant mentality on the pitch, whilst in fact the kid hasn't achieved jack sh!t yet.

It made ESPN.com's front page since it involved a US NT player...lol

ROME -- AC Milan teammates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Oguchi Onyewu brawled during a training match Friday.

Team vice president Adriano Galliani, speaking with SkySport24 TV, described the fight as "very lively" but said both players have resolved their differences. He didn't say what sparked the brawl.

The Italian news agency ANSA said the American defender and the Swedish forward came to blows during the scrimmage and had to be separated by teammates and Milan staff.

AC Milan was training at its Milanello field ahead of Sunday's away match with Bari.

Last season it was a 4-3-3 yes, but it was a completely different way of playing. You had Boriello who was sort of a pivot that Dinho and Pato played off of. Plus a lot of the goals Pato scored came from those long lobs Dinho sent him when we broke on a counter and he's just beat the defender with just sheer pace. Or the in swinging cross from Dinho. This season he's not getting those opportunities. He can't beat his man on the right side because it's not the side he can do that in, if he was starting on the left then we might see that happen more often because he's more comforatble there in a one on one situation.

As for atitude, maybe it's coming off that way, but maybe he sometimes shows some reluctancy to really shift into that final gear because last season whenever he did it he ended up pulling up with that tigh problem and it happened again this season. So maybe it's just a mental block he has with getting injured again

Just got home and saw the article on ESPN.com.

One more reason why signing Ibra was a mistake. Yeah, he can score goals and all, but he's an undeniable cancer in the clubhouse.

Problem is solved, and also looks like Inzaghi will be the man that plays when there's 30min to go.That sounds good.

Of course it was gonna be solved. Hassling about these problems is the last thing we should worry about.

Ibra agent to Cruyff: 'Go to hell!'

Johan Cruyff has praised Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but agent Mino Raiola told him to “go to hell! He should be in a mental asylum with Pep Guardiola.”

The extraordinary outburst came after Barcelona advisor Cruyff said he was impressed by Ibra’s performance in the Milan derby, believing he was “better suited to Italian football.”

Rather than thank the Dutch legend for the comments, Ibrahimovic’s agent replied with a barrage of abuse.

“Cruyff can go to hell! He is a nobody,” Raiola was quoted as saying in Swedish newspaper Expressen.

“He is becoming old and didn’t have the courage to continue his management career, as he doesn’t know how to train a modern club.

“Why didn’t Cruyff tell Zlatan that he wasn’t suited to Spanish football before Barcelona signed him?

“I think Cruyff should be in a mental asylum with Guardiola, so they can sit there quietly and play cards together laugh.gif . They would be doing Barcelona a great favour.”

Okay. Really. Raiola makes Zlatan look sober and controlled. They're in a contest to see who's the bigger apostate. Zlatan against Sacchi..and now Raiola against Cruyff?
Oh btw...this is from goal.com

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has pledged his allegiance to Milan, insisting the Rossoneri will be the final club he plays for.

Ibrahimovic joined the Diavoli at the start of the season, and his current contract is set to expire in 2014.

"This will be my last club, and then I will quit playing football," the Sweden international declared to Aftonbladet.

The 29-year-old has played for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter and Barcelona.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he plans to quit football in June 2014.

Ibrahimovic, who left Barcelona to return to Serie A in the summer, is on loan at the San Siro and will be 33-years-old when he plans to hang up his boots. Milan have the option to make his loan move permanent next summer for 24 million euros (£19.7 million) and the striker has agreed terms on a four-year deal. But it may be his final contract in football.

"How long do I intend to play? A maximum three years," Ibrahimovic told Italy's Vanity Fair. "One should stop playing when you are at the top."

Former Inter striker Ibrahimovic has been inspirational since joining city rivals AC Milan. He has scored seven goals in 13 league games to lift the Rossoneri to the top in Serie A and found the back of net four times to help Milan progress to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

And he admits he is supremely confident in his game despite lasting just a single season at Spanish giants Barcelona.

He said: "Do I feel the strongest player in the world? Yes, I do. If you don't think like that, you don't go out on the pitch 100%. For me to be second doesn't exist."

Ibra: 'No, I won't quit in three years'

Having caused controversy by announcing he’d quit football in three years, Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists “that’s not my intention.”

The Milan striker gave an interview with Vanity Fair that was released today in which he was asked how long he would keep on playing for.

“Three years at the maximum. You have to stop when you are at the top,” was the published reply.

However, Ibra released a statement on the official club website this evening with a very different view.

“It is not my intention to stop playing in three years, especially as my contract with Milan only expires in 2014.

“I’d also like to point out that my transfer to Barcelona in the summer of 2009 was wanted exclusively by me.”

The Vanity Fair article suggested Ibrahimovic blamed then-Inter boss Jose Mourinho for pushing him out of the club.

I genuinely dislike iBra. However I fear my opinions towards him are changing. That last interview he gave about Moratti (shitting on Moratti and Materazzi is always the sign of a goood person innocent.gif ) and his claims of dedication to his team (us) was really impressive and will warm me up to him.

Good work iBra!!
Great goals!!!
Keep it up sir king.gif

Here you go, pirate. Your wish is my command, skipper! biggrin.gif tongue.gif Anyone who poops on both Materazzi and Moratti in one sentence climbs 10 points in my good books, LOL. Plus I agree with his thoughts on the Sneijder snub (the other three players nominated can't even shine his shoes if we are talking about last year, the treble, and the World Cup final).

Pity he won't get the recognition, he probably won't ever get another chance like this. Oh well, here's the interview:

QUOTE
Zlatan Ibrahimovic feels he is entitled to think that he is still very important to Inter given Marco Materazzi and Massimo Moratti keep talking about him.

The Sweden international left Inter in 2009 primarily to win the Champions League with Barcelona only to see his former side do so instead.

He returned to Italy in the summer, joining Inter's heated rivals Milan, which has naturally sparked great debate among his former employers and teammates.

Interviewed on Studio Stadio XXL, Ibrahimovic said: “Materazzi speaks a little too much about me, as does Moratti. You see that I am still very important for them.

“I instead never speak about them. You see that they are not important for me.”

Turning his attention to Milan, Ibrahimovic said: “I understood on the first day I arrived here from the atmosphere that there was around me that Milan are my team and it's where I will finish my career and hopefully win a lot.

“It's not true that the team is Ibra-dependent. Every one of us depends on each other. I don't fear Inter, Juventus, Roma or anyone else. Wehave already shown that we are the strongest team. We must only continue like this and Milan will win everything.”

Finally, Ibrahimovic reacted to Wesley Sneijder's snub in the voting for the Ballon d'Or.

“It's sad that Sneijder won't win the Ballon d'Or after what he did last season, including in the World Cup, but by now that trophy has become only a question of politics and it's for this reason that I am no longer interested in winning it: I prefer to win with the team,” he concluded.
