1 - #Inter are the 1st team to arithmetically win the #Scudetto in a city derby in the history of the #SerieA (since 1929-30); furthermore, the Nerazzurri are the 2nd Italian team to win at least 20 Scudetti, after Juventus (36). Unforgettable.

Pioli... All thanks to his stupid thinkering. Lost us 2 games against Roma and now this.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Apr 22 2024, 09:48 PM) *
And you wanted him to stay only a few weeks ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I repeat, the most disgraceful coach in Milan history.

Like I said, you were right, I was wrong. The run of good results in the easy fixtures, all mostly settled by individuality were clouding my better judgement. More than that, the fear of who they might choose drove that desire more than anything else.

And I'm still worried about who they might choose. It has to be a top coach, capable of getting the best of our players. It cannot be a run of the mill journey man again.

That's why I was sort of ok with settling with Pioli. But after these 2 weeks. If I could I'd go there and kick him out DJ Jazzy Jeff style myself

Inter getting a 2nd star before us. Makes it even more bitter by the fact that they engineered 5 of their titles through calciopoli and were assigned one on paper. Absolutely disgusting team who we've now let walk all over us for 6 consecutive games. All of which being in a humiliating fashion with the highest of stakes to play for. Super Coppa, CL semi and now Scudetto decider for them.

Thank you Padre Pioli, you're no longer on fire, but you should be set on fire.

Sac him tonight Cardinale, or all your credibility is going down the drain

And Inter win the title against us

The cherry on top of the sh!t cake

Pioli should have been sacked last season during January. The writing was on the wall then. He never learns.

It's criminal that Chuck has been made to sit this last month btw, has been much better than Pulisic. Who's looked tired and slow as of late.

We should just fire him tonight and let Bonera or someone, anyone take over for the rest of this dead rubber season.

Letting Pioli stay on past today gives all the wrong signals to everyone.

Letting Inter win the title against us. While laying down for them!

We have no midfield, it has been like this all season, and he's actually made it worse as the season went on with RLC playing so high now. Inter are literally waltzing through with acres and acres of space. Disgusting

Every chance they create is a f@cking replica! Bring the ball down in the middle, draw our CBs up, play it wide, cut it back into our box. FFS!

We need a striker out there!

Facepalm...

And we always concede the same replica goal against these mofos

Pioli must be sacked tonight. I would be hugely disappointed if it doesn't happen.

Tonight was a new low. We just hit rock bottom.

He'll see out the season but he's definitely out come the end of it. Now I'm reading rumours about Lopategui and f@cking Pellegrini and back to being worried.

It better be someone excellent FFS. We have not had a top coach since Carlo

Absolutely disgusted by today.

I don't know WTF Pioli tried to do today, but that should be his job right there. Unacceptable. Players gave up before the whistle started and we had not lost to these chumps for years.

Terrible cup coach, terrible tactician, dog walked by a novice, started the game with a 5-1-5 formation, wtf did he expect? Kept letting Gabbia get isolated against Lukaku. DDR simply used the Inzaghi school of Pioli whipping, send in long balls to the strong CF and let him bring in the oncoming runners. Did the same thing in both legs and we kept walking right into it, just like we do each time we play Inter. This guy never learns.

Leao, Theo, Pulisic, Giroud. All terrible, but when the opposition work to nullify their individuality, we have no answer, because that is all we rely on. These guys to bail us out each time.

The amount of times we let them get all 10 behind the ball and then blast it into the crowd... I mean, school yard kids show more tactical aptitude...

Anyway, we'd have been hamiliated by Leverkusen anyway. This season needs to end, and a new coach needs to come in. Bring me Sarri/Conte/De Zerbi/anyone other than this f@cking idiot. He had me fooled he'd turned things around, but that was obviously the easy schedule. We cannot waste another year with him. He hit his ceiling with that Scudetto and it's been downhill since then.

The dumbest sh!t I've seen in a while

How many times have we tried to hit this into 20 men clustered in the box?

Pioli should be gone tonight FFS! We're going to get killed by Inter

Yeah but who cares about the scudetto in the derby. What does it change? Whether Inter win it next week or after two weeks the deal is done. What matters is the Roma game.

IMO if we stand a chance to go through we should play a proper 4-2-3-1 with Pulisic AM and Okafor CF. Giroud and RLC have been trash lately. And we?re too static with them on the pitch.

I don't want them to win the Scudetto against us. That would be the big shame badge added to the season if we allow that. I think their draw against Cagliari today means that they have to win against us to make it mathematically a done deal. So just do everything to not let them win!

As for the Roma game, I don't think we should start with 4 attackers. Although RLC does make it feel that way anyway with how far up the pitch he's playing. But the fact that we don't have a natural DM leaves us too wide open in the middle to do this against a decent side.

We all know Okafor should start. But Pioli trusts in Giroud way too much. And he will rely on him again, and this time, he'll probably cost him his job.

Today again with a huge miss. His touches and hold up have been complete @ss lately.

Okafor is so versatile, quick, can interchange with the wingers, and he's been coming up clutch all season. We have to go with him in attack.

Puli or Chuck on the right doesn't matter to me, both are playing well. Actually gutted for Chuk today, a grand total of 1 inch combined in both offisde goals. The 2nd one for me was criminal. Should have stood.

Also, agreed about Pioli. I let the good moment and the fear of the unknown cloud my better judgment.

You are right, he must be given his marching orders at the end of the season, no matter what happens in the EL. We've reached the end of his cycle ang keeping him would just be beating a dead horse.

If we manage to keep Theo and Leao for another season, I want a manager who will get the best out of them. And that is not Pioli.

This team has no balls. Every time it matters they sh*t themselves never showing up. Always these apathetic displays with no desire and determination. I'm so fed up with this attitude. Starting from Leao. What a shitshow from him last night.

Then don't even get me started on the tactics. Pioli, a seasoned coach with decades of experience on his shoulders getting outplayed by a novice like De Rossi. All it took was shifting El Shaarway on the right to close the spaces for Theo and Leao and all of a sudden we had no game plan.

Then his inability to read the game midway and change things. Instead of subbing in Adli, Chukweuze and Okafor for the non-exitsent Bennacer, RLC and Giroud at half-time, he waits and waits when even someone who understands nothing of football could see we were completely blocked on the pitch. The players weren't moving. Roma had closed all spaces. They were pressing like crazy and were always first on each ball. What does he do? Nothing.

That's why he needs to leave. This is enough.

I think the Roma game is 95% tactics and 5% clamming up in the big moment. We've played big games before and did the job. As you said, a novice out-smarted Pioli's one dimensional set-up.

3-3 against Sassuolo, we can thank our lucky stars that it wasn't another big embarrassment. Kjaer and Thiaw man. The defensive phase has been appalling all season, mostly thanks to our wide open midfield. But Kjaer should retire, he's done. And Thaiw, not even a shadow of the player who burst onto the scene last season. Thinking he was a one hit wonder at this point. Thank god he's out against Inter with that yellow he got today.

We're actually staring down the barrel of an Inter Scudetto win in the derby and I honestly cannot face it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Let's see how we recover against Roma. No excuses. We should win that. If De Rossi neuters Pioli again...

One final though. Giroud... Thanks for the memories, but he should not be starting games anymore. He's been terrible for a while now, even his hold up has been sh!t. Okafor has shown that he can play there. Just give him the minutes, we all know Giroud is gone at the end of the season anyway.

Absolutely terrible today. Not to mention that fact that he's cost us big time during this season's entire European campaign. The misses against Newcastle, the penalty miss against Dortmund and that huge miss today all come blaring back into focus. I mean that one today, it was harder to do what he did than to actually score it.

Anyway, we've been sleeping our way through this competition, the only decent game we played was that first leg in the first round, all the rest we've basically rode our luck, had Slavia not gotten those yellows, we'd have probably already bowed out, and we were lucky to hold on in the 2nd leg in France.

Pioli is such a sh!t KO coach. We keep getting booted out of the Copa against sh!t teams each year. Were exceptionally lucky in the CL last season and every other try we had the EL under him we went out with a whimper

This is why Pioli needs to leave.

Forget what I said. You are right, mother f@cker needs to go

How do you play the most important game of your season like THIS???

Against Roma of all f@cking teams FFS!! They've been our b!tch for over 4 years now.

How are Giroud and RLC still on the pitch. Giroud with the miss of the season, when he should not have even been on the pitch by that point FFS!

An absolutely disgusting display, and Pioli asleep on that bench. Theo, Leao... Where the f@ck were they???

Another season down the f@cking drain. Giroud needs to see the bench next game, but obviously Pioli won't do that, same this with RLC.

Btw, not to make excuses but the refereeing killed us here. Their goal should have never come from that corner. Lukaku f@cking miles offside right next to the linesman, how could he not have seen that FFS!

Yeah, but I think Thiaw is a better match-up for Lukaku.

Last game against Roma we used Kjaer and Gabbia. Lukaku did not get a sniff.

Thiaw has plantar fasciitis apparently so I doubt he'll be fit to play. And I personally wouldn't trust him to play this game atm, even if he was fit
