Zambrotta could head home

Barcelona's Gianluca Zambrotta may return to Italy at the end of the season, according to the latest reports in Spain.

The full-back was one of the first Juventus players to leave the outfit when the Calciopoli scandal saw them demoted, but his stint at the Nou Camp could be on the verge of ending.

The AS newspaper claims that Zambrotta has not completely adapted to his new life, failing to live up the expectations of the club and Coach Frank Rijkaard.

The World Cup winner is thus already being associated with a Barca exit as Milan and Juventus are monitoring his situation.

The Rossoneri would seemingly be in pole position to net him should he become available for transfer.

Vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that they were interested last summer, but they couldn’t start a negotiation until they had successfully come through the Champions League preliminary tie against Red Star.

No firm offer has been made for the former Como and Bari player, but the Italian giants are expected to strengthen numerous areas of the side this summer

The only team he'll be playing for next season is Juventus.

Well, and Italy.

Well the lb position is always in question, Janku can also play in midfield, not like he is a dedicated lb .. But that is if, Barca sell him

He can play right and left...easily. He's exactly what we need. Cafu is leaving, meaning Oddo only at the right. If Luca plays left, Marek pushes up to mid. And if god forbid Oddo gets hurt, Luca can play right, and Janku can switch back to LB.

In any case I don't Sergio will be long for Milan. Maybe a year or so.

There is one thing you guys don't know about Marek... He is no midfielder and he has never been good playing there for us... He is, I believe, great at the LB position though.

Oddo Nesta Bonera Janku---- will be a verysolid back four for us next season. And with Gourcuff emerging, I don't see Janku getting much space. And next year, we will go back to playing with two attackers again, so, as I said: no space for Zambrotta.

He said he's not coming back for Juve... for sure. His chapter with the bianconeri is closed.

But I've been thinking...

Isn't Inter planning to sell Grosso to Roma to get Mancini (latest rumours)? OK... now I understand... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

He is one of a kind. A player like him is rarely born.
He is the best full-back in the world, plus he can play at both sides equally.

he is FANTASTIC

We'll have to see. I'm very happy with the forum, but my agent suggests that I should evaluate other offers from other forums also, before I decide upon next season. m1ke is busy with v2 and so I haven't negotiated a new contract. I feel seeing my contributions to the forum, I need a new profanity level alloted to me.

At present I'm very happy with milanfan and hope to put in my best performances towards the end of the season. But who knows about next season, there are a lot of considerations to be taken into mind.

@Portugal: Bite you tongue...bite it, before i ask dst to do it for you. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (ooh...that'll be kinky (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) )

Next season we'll only have 1 RB... Zambrotta is good at RB as he is at LB so I can't see why there's no space for him in Milan.

Ok, I'm gonna type this in CAPS so maybe you get it this time:

WE HAVE ODDO FOR RB AND JANKU FOR LB AND THAT MEANS NO ROOM FOR ZAMBROTTA.

Most likely it will be a Milan youth player that will replace Cafu...

Janku's good but Zambrotta is possibly the best full-back in the world. There is always room for world-class players.
