Pirlo Looking Forward To Juve Clash

Milan star Andrea Pirlo is excited about this weekend’s match with Juventus and believes there will be a special atmosphere at San Siro.

This will be the first time that Italy’s two biggest clubs will have met competitively since the infamous Calciopoli crisis in 2006.

The scandal saw Juve relegated to Serie B, while Milan were handed a heavy points penalty.  The Bianconeri have since returned to the top-flight and have made an impressive start to the campaign.

“The game with Juventus is a historical match,” said Pirlo.

“I believe it will be a beautiful game with a very special atmosphere. “It is nice to see Juventus return to Serie A.”

Pirlo also commented on his brilliant free-kick winner against Cagliari yesterday afternoon.

“I always try to prefect the way I hit my free-kicks, sometimes they go well and sometimes they go bad,” said Pirlo.

“Yesterday the goalkeeper moved with the movement of the ball, the trajectory then changed and so it went well.”

Has been a while. In the last game in the league at San siro we won 3:1 (it was a great game. Juve were going strong then). Can't wait for this one. I predict a lot of goals.

Match is at 19:30 UK next Saturday.

As for the result, I predict a draw or a Juventus win. Although I'd love to finally see a victory in San Siro for Serie A this year.

Forza Milan!

Oh, back then... what a game! And we were actually competing for the scudetto back then! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Not to go against the general sentiment or anything but this IS a home match, and Gila's already scored. And we'll be tired after Benfica esp. Kaka.

Too much hinging on how strong our defence will be and once again on Seedorf.

We lose 1-3. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

All I know is Seedorf will score. He always manages to score against Juve, even with his head, which is something you rarely see from Seedorf.

As for the game, Juve looked great against Palermo, but you get the feeling that it was mostly Palermo that made them look that good. Hopefully we won't be that worn out after the Benfica game since that is another must win game, since we have to close this group up and not have to worry about the next match that much.

This clash has often been below my expectations [of course there are some exceptions like that 3-1 thrashing] but I predict a boring game, maybe finally a home win. but Juve's motivation worries me. this motivation was the reason why they managed to take points from Inter while they were clearly inferior to them.

If Juventus is in it, it's bound to be a boring encounter... La Fidanzata d'Italia might be good in bed, getting what she wants but my... she's an ugly b/tch!!
