Domenech slams ‘negative’ Italy Thursday 18 October, 2007

France Coach Raymond Domenech is causing controversy once again after accusing Italy of negative tactics.

Both sides are likely to secure places in Euro 2008 after Scotland’s shock defeat in Georgia. Les Bleus require a draw in Ukraine and the Azzurri need a point in Scotland.

When the old rivals met at the San Siro in September, France seemed the more cautious in a drab 0-0 draw, but Domenech takes a very different view.

“It was Italy who played for a draw,” the ex-Monaco boss claimed.

“How will Scotland v Italy finish? A draw because Italians know how to do that. If I had to bet on it, I would put everything on it finishing level.

“A draw is enough in Ukraine and that does change things, but we are different to Italy and we will go there to win.

“We were looking for nine points from the Faroe Islands, Lithuania and the Ukraine and nothing has changed for me.”

It is a tense wait until the week of November 17 when all will be decided in Group B.

This guy is full of sh!t. Italy didn't get anything from the draw against France, France however got from that game what they wanted.

It was clear that they were the ones going for the draw since they were the team to benefit from it not Italy.

This guy can't shut up and take a defeat like a man, he's bean moaning about Italy ever since the WC and it's getting old (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Not France.
Just Domenech...and maybe Malouda.
I like the way Materazzi is sort of squeezed to the back...but where's Pirlo?
