Okay, no one mentioned or posted this; I appologize for posting this sad news weeks late, but it never really is too late.
Former Milan defender Francesco "Cecco" Zagatti died a few weeks ago at the age of 77.
In his career, Zagatti played only for AC Milan, 1950-1963; made more then 200 appearances, scored 2 goals, was Milan's captain for a few matches beside Cesare Maldini.
After his retirement he also coached Milan's primavera team and, for a brief period, Milan in 1982 when Luigi Radice was sacked in mid-season.
With Milan as player, Zagatti won 4 domestic titles (1954-55, 1956-57, 1958-59, 1961-62). He reached top of European football after winning the EC in 1961, but did not play in the final match against Benfica.
RIP
A one-club man? I'm ashamed I hadn't heard of him. RIP!
