Piatek started looking bad last season when the entire team dipped in form, he's a striker that relies on service. If you're not giving him anything to work with, he's not going to create something out of nothing by himself.

This.

And plus Suso himself is hardly known for altruistic play.

There is chaos in our management.

Yes, for the past near-decade.

It's absurd how poorly Milan are run, and how bad the decisions at every level of management continue to be.

Question for all of you - genuine - will you still follow this team in Serie B with having lost our 'best' players and possibly sliding down to Serie C?

Now, I'm a Rangers fan and I've had a four-year nightmare in the lower divisions, but we're now top of the table and should be top of our Europa group (group of death with Feyenoord, Young Boys and Porto) so I know what it is to slide to the bottom and the joy of rising back.

But could this generation of Rossoneri cope with it (after all it happened 40 years ago too).

The issue with Spalletti is that he's still bound with Inter, which earns him 4.5 million per year for the next two years. If he was to sign a contract with us, he'd have to rescind with Inter. But he wanted a severance pay of one year's salary, and Inter were not willing to pay him.

A matter of principle for Inter, Spalletti apparently is very angry with them and there's a lot of tension betwene the two parties.

Hence why we opted for Pioli. But my question is: why not Ranieri or Garcia instead? Pioli is just another Giampaolo.

Ranieri:

Horrific coach. Absolutely rubbish at Chelsea, Roma and every meaningful club at a high level. Rubbish at Leicester - it was his assistant Craig Shakespeare who really won that league for them, and it was also a total freak (he couldn't repeat it as manager). Telling that Ranieri has been trash at every club before and since Leicester won the league, and including the season there after that. Jose Mourinho was dead right about this guy.

Garcia:

Good coach. Therefore not one Milan would realistically go for.

Maldini and Boban = Clowns.

Milan into the abyss.

Yup. I can't honestly say I support this club any more. I follow its fortunes, but the soul was ripped out long ago and it's a total clusterf*ck of an operation now.

I enjoy the chat on here, but the Milan we all grew up with is gone, probably for good, and it's been replaced by a satirical tribute act.

With a f*ckme terrible shirt.

Anyway, I'm still happy we got rid of Giampaolo. That's what you get for being a stubborn mule.

Not his fault at all. It was the two morons who appointed a midtable mediocre coach.

What's happening is what the management instructs. Appoint a turd as manager and a turd you get.

This club is headed to Serie B.

Who was it who said they were feeling reassured with these two clowns in charge?

With all due respect, being a great player does not mean anything.

Saponara didnít even play. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Didnít watch it either, just the goals. Reinaís howler was horrific, but he saved the penalty in the 93rd minute.

Also, glad we won after Giampaolo took off Calhanoglu and Piatek for Paqueta and Leao. Maybe heíll understand something now.

They showed an up close of Saponara bang on half time and a red card. I just assumed?

Didn't watch it.

Anyone did? And if so how were we today? Still terrible?

Watched the first half - we were terrible. But would never have seen Reina make an error like that in a million years.

I'm typing this without actually knowing the final score.

And I'll post.

Then edit if need be.

Ah yeah, forgot Saponara was red carded. We won against 10 men. Congrats!

I'm sorry, but 2012's decision to sell and release our entire squad is why we're in this mess now.

It's not any more complicated. I said back in 2011 we needed to consolidate our Scudetto with some serious signings. Instead we got SAS and Mexes. It's just been degradation since then.

You forget though Pippo, this Milan team is now below the level of the Torinos of this world.

It's not traditional Milan mentality to big up a performance v Torino, but then this isn't a traditional Milan.

This is a bottom 10 team and the players are thinking like that.

Sadly that's justified.

You know, I remember when Maldini got appointed - I can't say it thrilled me.

It seems to me he and Boban are presiding over a continuing decline in this club.

They've done nothing arrest the slide.

Off the top of my head - Giampaolo Sampolo.

Is that his name? I'm going to check.

Marco Giampaolo.

Ok I wasn't totally wrong. Ish.

Know what's the most comical and bitter part of all this for me personally? I still couldn't tell you our manager's name.

He's an irrelevance, a terrible appointment and out of his depth.

I called that the day he was announced, and I'm sorry but I don't back him.

I can't support a manager who is this clueless.

Equally though I can't support those who appointed him.

I only support those who do the right things for the club - and few are right now.

Piatek is a great striker, but he needs service - he's a classic striker, not a Ronaldo type. This is not a super striker who can do it alone. You don't score 19 in 21 for Genoa if you're mediocre. Or 21 in 36 in Poland.

No, Milan have just turned yet another great player into one who looks awful.

We're good at that.

Funny how the 'top two' (or so) coaches in Italy deeply struggled in England.

If you look at Inter's results, none of them are credible. They beat a bottom 3 team with help from a red card, a midtable team by way of a penalty and another bottom team by way of being a man up.

Then get held at home by a very ordinary Slavia side?

I'm not a fan of Conte - I think his star peaked at Juve and despite the title he won in England, the way it fell apart quickly afterwards shows he doesn't have the ability to keep the success going.

Is this team really that bad?

That it struggled to beat a promoted side and lost to one expected to be in the mix to go down probably says its own story.

We looked disjointed, and haphazard. It wasn't horrible but when you see Borini coming on to save the day it's worrying.

PS Piatek's miss was a combination of horrible finishing and staggering goalkeeping.

But, at least we're off the mark. I suspect most our points this season will arrive at home.

Torino singed Laxalt for loan with OPTION to buy for 12 million. We really cant get rid of any player man.

Linked with Everton from Gremio again. No idea who he is. 30 million apparently rejected.

Wish someone would just singe our first team squad.

Another one of Mirabelli's genius moves.

Out of all the players he brought in that summer, not a single one turned out to be good.

Musacchio - average
Conti - mediocre
Rodriguez - rubbish
Biglia - mediocre
Kessie - average
Calhanoglu - rubbish
Silva - rubbish
Borini - rubbish
Kalinic - rubbish

Way to waste 200M.

Musacchio - who?
Conti - unfair, was doing ok then basically got a career-ending injury
Rod - good left foot and cross, cr*p everything else.
Biglia - less than mediocre
Kessie - had potential but just not up to it
Hakan - yup
Silva - worse than rubbish
Borini - worse than Silva
Kalinic - worse than aids.

Bonucci - MINCEMINCEMINCE

So, you're against young prospects like Leao but also against experienced, proven players like Sanchez...

You say proven but he scored 5 goals in like 35 for Utd. He was very good at Udi, failed at Barca, great at Arsenal, but that's all a long time ago. And his salary is actually close to the highest-paid in the world (400K a week, win bonus, sponsorships, and a £1.2M bonus per year just for being Alexis Sanchez). Not sure he can live on his past forever...

And scored.

Let's face it, we've brought in someone who was out of his depth from before he even walked in Milanello.
