Finally back to business this week. Let's hope we can pick up where we left off from that Roma game. We have a very demanding fixture list about to start with practically a game every 3 days for the next 2 month straight. This is one of the game where we absolutely cannot afford to lose points as Atalanta, Inter and Samp will all come barreling at us with EL fixtures sandwiched in between

You do notice that this is a game we tend to loose points. Historically speaking.

Let's see if we can break that trend

The performance against Roma gave me hope that we will at leadt show something very different this season to what we've been seeing from this team for the last decade

No, but that's the type of game we generally capitulate in. It gave me hope to see how we played. Our record against the top 6 sides under Rino is very respectable, expecially when comparing to how we used to fare against them under Montella, Pippo,etc

Terrible performance against a terrible Cagliari side. It's games like this that make me lose hope of what this team can accomplish. Two points wasted.

This is why we're not going to get into the CL again. We lose points against teams like Cagliari

The players looked lazy, no real fighting spirit in them. And if that's something that even Gattuso cannot bring in them, then I don't know.

I think they showed better stuff in the second half, while the first doesn't deserve a mention

The problem is that they have difficulty breaking down a team like Cagliari, who were happy to sit back once they scored their goal.

Another problem is that we have Bonaventura trying to create and drive forward in midfield which makes us pretty clueless and lacking in creativity. Add to that Hakan having a rare bad game and it resulted in what we saw on the pitch. We had the chances to win this, but then again, so did Cagliari

This will be one of those game we'll regret down the road when there a re a few points separating us from that elusive 4th spot

We need to get that Barella kid in January. He looked superb, everything Biglia is not. And hopefully Fabregas as well. That will fix our midfield problems. We can't continue relying on players like Biglia and Bonaventura anymore. They are subs at best.

Nah, I think Milan will get a CL place. It's too early to leap to conclusions based on one game.

I would like to reaffirm the approach of 'one game at a time'.

Two points lost? I'd like to look at it as one point gained. As historically these fixtures are difficult for Milan.

Yes. Let's not get dramatic. When did we never lose points during a season against such teams. I just hope it doesn't happen frequently.
