I was in Milan during the game against Germany and people in the streets went like crazy after the final whistle, drinking and celebrating till late. It was pretty awesome. Too bad I couldn't stay there for the final. Oh well, FORZA ITALIA!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

yeah but the Confederations Cup just feels lame.

Yeah, but the same could be said of almost everything outside the World Cup (or Euros). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) The teams do send their best possible squad for it, and it's more of a test of the preparations of the upcoming World Cup. I do agree a win there may not seem worthwhile, but the games usually are.

It's a bit like the various Club World Cups, Super Cups, European Super Cups, etc. but still watchable for me.

Confederations Cup is so lame. it's hard for me to get excited about it because there's hardly any excitement in it. just like the third place play off in the World Cup where two depressed losers meet.

I make no effort to watch it, I basically see it as the International Club World Cup which is also crap.

The latter has some historic importance, though, and it's always been one of Milan's soft spots. The Confederations Cup is just a friendlies tournament.

The old Intercontinental Cup used to.

The Club World Cup has only been going 7 years and it's been pretty crap.

What's the difference? In the end nearly always the European and South American clubs face each other in the final.

Which is exactly the reason why this Club world cup is so useless.

Bad decision to leave Balzaretti out. Other than that, it looks good. No striker again for Spain, which should make the defense's job much easier.
