(from the ticker on acmilan.com's english page)

QUOTE
A.C. MILAN OFFICIAL NOTE
4/21/2009
A.C. Milan communicates that the footballer Ferreira Da Rosa Emerson asked and obtained an immediate resolution of his relationship with the club, due to personal reasons. Thanking him for what he showed during his experience with the Rossoneri, Milan give Emerson all the best wishes for the future.

Figured this deserved its own thread as we're likely to hear more about it in days to come.

I'm not surprised that he decided to leave, he was gonna be gone in the summer anyways... he was still kept here and didn't do anything but if it were younger players they would've been loaned out...I wish him the best of luck...Maybe Cardaccio would replace him or Gourcuff would come back

It reduces our wage bill by £4m a season. That's all that matters.

He was useful on occasions, but never really needed in the first place. Wish him all the best for the future!

This is what happens when you give a coach someone he wanted 3 years ago. Emerson's coffin was sealed, the day we landed Mattie on a free, for pretty much the same wage.

This was probably the best course involved for both parties. Thank you Puma, good luck!

Anybody laying bets? England or Greece?
