QUOTE (maldini03 @ Sep 19 2012, 09:49 PM) I'm also against Benitez, the guy destroyed Mourinho's Inter. I think Tassotti wouldn't be a bad option, he would know how to handle the players, as he worked under Ancelotti. The only drawback would be if he fails as well, I wouldn't feel comfortable sacking him.
I agree with us needing someone who can get the best out of what he's got, but there simply aren't enough good options out there. I really don't think Tassotti is a good option. The players are too comfortable with him, he's more a friend to them than someone to lead them

QUOTE (Danny @ Sep 19 2012, 05:46 PM) Nesta isn't going to slate the manager publicly now is he? Furthermore if that quote is what he truly believes, then he's wrong.
I'm also not sure how either of you can call this a 'transition' when last night we only started with one new signing?
Explain that, and how it fits with the result? If you're using the 'transition' reason, I mean. Erm, I have been explaining for the past couple of months? Results? We knew this team would struggle to find its footing, not rocket science exactly is it. We lost seasoned veterans, champions ... We were bound to stutter. eg Juventus came back from Serie B, with a Serie B squad. They rebuilt and it took them a couple of years to get to where they are now. PS> had Stephan scored at that point black chance he had against Anderlecht, we wouldn't be discussing this (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Let's not compare us to Juve. We did not go to Serie B, we were Champions last season. All of the players which were on the pitch bar Pazzini were at Milan last season. It's not rocket science that we expect better against the level of opposition we have faced so far.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Sep 20 2012, 08:31 AM) Why are you talking to me as if I am 'satisfied' with our situation? I just accept this as inevitable.
No we didn't go to Serie B, but we start this season with a Serie B squad in comparison. And that is the line I am drawing.
And yes we didn't deserve to win and the performance was horrendous, but had he scored and the game ended with us topping the group. That would be 1 win in 5 games, which ultimately would help boost a moral in the squad. Think baby steps han, its going to be a rather looooong and dry season till May 2013. Because you come across as if you are. NO we do not have a Serie B squad. EVERY game we have played, we have by far the better quality squad than our opposition. We have not been playing big guns here, we've been playing against run of the mill midtable quality teams. So yes I expect better! I'm not saying that I want to see us beating top European power houses here. And it's not just about morale, it about putting in minimal effort and it's pretty clear that the players aren't even doing that at this point.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Sep 20 2012, 12:37 PM) Because you come across as if you are. That does not make any sense, why would I be following the team in the first place, when I know that it will take at least two years to get us back to contention? QUOTE (han2503 @ Sep 20 2012, 12:37 PM) NO we do not have a Serie B squad. EVERY game we have played, we have by far the better quality squad than our opposition. We have not been playing big guns here, we've been playing against run of the mill midtable quality teams. So yes I expect better! Well, these midtable teams didn't loose a host of veterans and champions. For them it is a norm to play with the quality on hand and they know that this is the weakest Milan side in over two decades. So why not give it their all and get the 3 points, they deserved? I wish Milan provided us with better results, but this is ultimately what we have to deal with. You either accept it as it is and improve gradually along the way. Or suffer with radical coach changes, with a squad that would could hardly produce an iota of inspiration QUOTE (han2503 @ Sep 20 2012, 12:37 PM) I'm not saying that I want to see us beating top European power houses here. And it's not just about morale, it about putting in minimal effort and it's pretty clear that the players aren't even doing that at this point. So is it the players? the coach? I don't know who your criticizing anymore han ... To me, this is the team and this is the coach. We no longer have the experience nor the personnel, but we have a young team that needs to grow. And this growth happens over time. Is the coach to blame? Well, he does shoulder blame, but to his defense he didn't have his top three players to start with (Monto, Pato and Robinho). So ... As I said, baby steps and its a long season.
