QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 31 2014, 05:08 PM) Oh cool. Van Ginkel is quality. Can't blame him for having ambitions to succeed at Chelsea rather than getting loaned out. Success that he would never be involved in? Mourinho has made it very clear that he has no space for him at Chelsea by leaving him out of the CL list and keeping him out of the squad that he took to Everton yesterday. I guess his refusal at joining us rubbed me the wrong way since he'd apparently prefer warming the stands at Stamford bridge rather than have an opportunity at regular football at Milan, and while yes we're no great shakes atm, one has to question where his ambitions lie

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 31 2014, 05:57 PM) I really can't fathom the fact that Van Ginkel is coming on loan with no right of purchase. Never had this happen before I think. It's like, if he performs excellently you can't get attached because you know he'll return to Chelsea at the end of the season. Hmmm... Well Chelsea are already stacked in midfield, and we had an option to buy all of Zapata, Rami and Taraabt but decided not to exercise those options so that we can re-negotiate the price rather than just pay the agreed fee (one of the douchiest thing Galliani has done as of late) Either that or Galliani has simply reduced us to a feeder club

Either that or Galliani has simply reduced us to a feeder club No. My guess is we can't attract the kind of midfield talent we would like without CL. But its a vicious circle since to make the CL we need the midfield talent. van Ginkel's transfer solves it for us perfectly. Mind you, as per terms we pay 1 million if van Ginkel plays less than 20 games. 0.5 million otherwise. In other words, Chelsea are paying us half a million to develop van Ginkel. I don't mind that. Next year we can see who becomes available.

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Sep 1 2014, 02:27 AM) So we are becoming a feeder club. Nope. A feeder club by my definition is one that develops it's own players to sell them on. We arent' developing our own player her. van Ginkel is enough of a finished article for us to have him start. For Chelsea? No. It actually shows how we are now a full level below European elite.

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 31 2014, 12:33 PM) Van Gaal /Manchester United seems desperate.
Didn't he have a 100 million budget? How much have they spent now?
Di Maria, Herrera, Shaw, Blind, Rojo... at least you can safely say if United keeps disappointed it's Van Gaal's doing, while the squad will look quite decent this season. They've spent £150m so far and still have nobody in midfield who can tackle.

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Aug 31 2014, 08:30 PM) Cerci to Atleti on loan with an option to buy for €19m. (FI)
Weird deal IMO. Torino will have him back next season then, no way Atleti will pay 19m for him
