Milan did very well to absorb Napoli?s anger and get a goal. It was always going to be tough after that 0-4 ruthless humiliation.

The second leg will be an uphill battle for both Milan and Napoli. I don?t see this fixture as over, however psychologically Napoli are feeling inferior. That said, they will probably have Osimhen back who will add complexity. Fixture is not over.

On Pioli, I have to hand it to this man; he took Milan from its shambles in 2019, to a CL participation and a Scudetto the following season. This season, Milan has one foot on a semi final showing. Baby steps or giant leaps? Even if Milan get knocked out in Napoli and miss out on CL football next season. Pioli has proven me wrong and he has earned respect and admiration for how he made a team out of this Milan.

Bravo!

As I'm sure you know now, we played the home game first (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Anyway, not our best showing but we got the job done. Pioli just has Spaletti's number imo.

They'll probably have Osimhen back for the 2nd leg, but Anguissa and Kim both missing are big blows for them. Let's see if we can get this over the line. That Kjaer header and Leao chance... Should have taken a 2-0 to the Maradona. Now it will be heart attack after heart attack next week.

Games are measured on goals. Forget chances xG and all the stats, it's who scores. And we just went 180 minutes with supposedly Italy's best team scoring 5 without return.

As I said, best back five is all you need.

We have an overall 7-3 goal advantage over them in the last 5 games we've played since they've been under Spaletti. Can't see us botching this, but we should have pushed harder for a second goal once Anguissa got sent off.

Osimhen Will be back for the return leg, he will sit the bench for their next league match.

Milan go to Bologna and a rotation is most likely, however 3 points is crucial. A tough week starts tomorrow.

I f@cking hate Pioli!!!

How do you go into such an important game for top 4 with that line-up??

Already a goal down and there is no way on god's green earth that we're scoring a single goal with this front 3/4, let alone 2

We actually manage to score thanks to a Pobega wonder strike

Should have had a penalty as well FFS!!

I don't understand how we keep getting BS penalties which will obviously have to get taken away by VAR and then an obvious one like that on Rebic is not given.

There also seemed to be a foul in the build up to their goal, haven't gotten a good look yet as I hadn't switched on yet when it happened

Just get the 3 points. No matter how, jus do it

Pioli has blood on his hands

If we don't make CL next season, it lands squarely at his feet

F@ck off Pioli

4 lost points for no good reason.

He better f@cking win the CL at this rate he's f@cked up the league so badly. He needs to go ASAP

Don't care what we do in the CL

CDK, Origi, Vranckx all terrible.

Couldn't watch the game but apparently there was a foul on Kalulu on Bologna's goal and two gigantic penalties not conceded to us. F*ck off VAR!

If you begin a match against a thrifty Bologna and show them the kind of disdain we did by practically fielding our Primavera, you're beyond lucky to get a draw.

Same in 2003, before the UCL final against Piacenza. Last time we did this. And we scraped a win that time by way of an injury time penalty.

History repeated itself.

Got what we deserved.

Dunno what Pioli is doing other than putting all his eggs in the UCL basket. He's clearly not interested in the league.

The rotation was ridiculous, both here and in the Empoli game.

Especially the Empoli game where we had ample time to recover between games. Now we're in this situation where we're risking next season's CL participation. And in the grand scheme of things, in terms of the club's finances and prestige, especially when talking about who we can sign in the summer, that is much mere important than how we do this season. We've already overachieved on what we thought we could do. Not making the top 4 would be disastrous for the club financially.

Pioli is seriously pissing me off.

These 4 points we f@cked needlessly in these last 2 games would have given us actual breathing room, now we're still in a dog fight for that 4th spot. Which is mental to think about considering we're the defending champions. Has there been a worse defending champion performance before this ffs?

If we don't make it through tomorrow, these 2 games we threw away will look even stupider than they already do.
