WBA paid £6m for Anichebe? I know they missed out on Lukaku and got desperate but Jesus! Worst value for money signing by a mile this window and that includes Bale.

I think Fellaini is terrible in all honesty, well, maybe not terrible good for a team like Everton - the next level? I don't see it in him at all. Nearing £30m is a farce too.

A transfer window that promised them Bale or Ronaldo or Ozil or Cesc or Thiago and they end up with that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

This is probably the worst United team in over 2 decades. And it's not like they were anything special last season but they at least still had Fergie.

Van Persie is the only difference between them and an average side imo

Agreed, this was the summer they needed to spend you look at the other major players this summer and they've all had a good transfer window. Will be interesting to see what Moyes does with this crop, particularly if RVP goes down injured.

11-12 - 89 goals, 89 points - top scorer: Premier League - Rooney (27), All competitions - Rooney (35)
12-13 - 86 goals, 89 points - top scorer: Premier League - Van Persie (26), All competitions - Van Persie (30)

The difference between the last 2 seasons was really that City got worse. Rooney was actually more prolific than RvP, but because he's English automatically gets labelled overrated, etc.

I think it's between United and Chelsea this year personally.

I agree that there side doesn't look too impressive at the moment. I get what you're saying!

However I think that's a bit harsh to label them as and average side + Van Persie.

Rooney, Kagawa, Vidic, De Gea (are all anything but mediocre players)

All of whom can be a very useful addition to Milan if we had the chance.

Don't get me wrong I think Rooney is top class but with his current issues at United I just don't think that he'll be as influential as he could be. Personally I think it's ridiculous that United don't play with 2 upfront (Rooney & RVP)

Kagawa is barely even used, there was even talk of him going back to Dortmund on loan, as I said to kurt in regards to Rooney, there are a lot of factors whuch can influence how effective he'll be for United this season. Vidic is nowhere near the player he used to be and De Gea is mostly a decent keeper, nothing special imo

Premier League clubs spent £630m (most ever), La Liga and Serie A, each with a gross spend of £335m, followed by Ligue 1 with £315m and Bundesliga with £230m.

FFP who?
