Looking at the second goal again, I'm amazed by Pato's acceleration. Also, his perception to stay onside is remarkable.

But he really needs to improve his finishing!

his finishing will improve, still only played 3 games so match fitness will get better, and perhaps he can show Pippo how to stay on-side!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

What are you talking about, I'm not looking for humor .. I'm loving this (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It's the fact that you're loving this that worries me, we only have 2 strikers atm, and just because you don't like one of them you're happy that he's being treated like cr@p when we need him atm since we can't count on either Ronaldo or Pippo to stay fit. It is immature to act that way just because you don't like the player

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jan 27 2008, 05:35 PM)
han, you're in a surprisingly bad mood after a win... You of all... How come?

I'm very happy that we got the 3 pts don't get me wrong, but Carlo's execution in the game wasn't that great and the whole Gila sub in the 88th minute irritated me because that is not what he needs wight now. And I know some here don't like him but right now he is 1 of the only 2 strikers we have fit right now, putting him more down won't do the team any good

totally agree,we hear about the Milan family attitude so let show it to Gila. He needs a partner up front as we've all said countless time so why not start him with Pato and we can always revert to the xmas tree later,we were at home for god sake lets show a little adventure!

QFT

Pato is unbelieveably good, he has the potential to be one of the all time greats.

My ratings:

Kalac: 6.5
Oddo: 6.5
Nesta: 6.5
Kaladze: 6
Maldini: 6
Rino: 6
Pirlo: 6.5
Ambro: 6
Seedorf: 6.5
Kaka: 6
Pato: 7

A few thoughts:

Even with Pato, we still seem to struggle to break teams down/find that killer pass.

Pato has all the attributes to be a great striker for Milan, but lacks composure at the moment. Thankfully, that should come with age/experience.

Kalac is in great form. I still think Dida is a great keeper, but I never once felt like Kalac was going to spill the ball straight into the path of an on-coming striker.

When was the last time we conceded from a set-piece? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Oddo looked like his old self yesterday. His crossing was questionable, but he did a great job defensively and gave them a problem down the right.

We look so vulnerable on the counter. It felt like every time Genoa came forward (which, to be fair, wasn't very often), they looked dangerous. I was watching the game and trying to work out why this was the case - it didn't look like we were that slow in getting back. It just looked like they had a lot more space and we didn't close them down as much as we should.

Finally, Kaka looked a little subdued. It's not much of a problem for me though - we won the game. Kaka nearly always turns in on in the big games when we need him most.

It's not about him reading this (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It's about being happy that he is being treated the way he is when in reality he's one of the only two strikers we have.

i'd have to strongly disagree with that...but anyways

i finally saw the 2nd half of the game this afternoon and, again, was amazed with pato

is he great? no. is he great for an 18 year old? definitely

i can't wait to see the future of this kid!
