There are a complete bunch of idiots at goal.com. Any of you read the comments at the end of the match report. Ugh! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/puke.gif)

Have u seen the other stuff. Ancelotti....and this is my personal favourite...

'Ancelloti is sh!t...Milan have only won all that they have because of their players. ' (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

What does he expect...Carletto to pull on the red and black again...and send in those missiles from the mid-field?? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

^^

Would not be a bad idea...I'd love to have a Carletto type player back in the field. Maybe we can sell Kaka and pull MvB out of retirement as well? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

@ari: I guess Oddo is out of touch with his fitness and all that.

Actually this has been a sh!tty first half of the season, where everything that could possibly go wrong has.

Strikers getting injured, fullbacks out of action. GK out of form. Yeesh!!

Inter on the other hand, have their mid-field impacted. Which really doesn't mean much, since they're all about their forward line anyway. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It's some kind of karmic relation. It's impossible for both Arsenal and Milan to do well in the same season. Karma's gonna explode in the CL (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) Can't wait for that.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jan 20 2008, 06:45 PM)
Like I said R7, it's not that Gila is a bad player, it is the system we often use that makes him look a bad player. Look what happened toady when he had a strike partner.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Oh, so it was a coincidence? Nah, I don't buy that.
*

Exactly, the goal we scored yesterday was like a replica of the goals we used to score when Sheva was with us. Look at the goals from the 05/06 season and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Imo the fact that there was Pato playing was the most crucial part of the goal.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jan 20 2008, 06:45 PM)
Some people find a way to have a go at Gila no matter what he does.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
*

Very true. And it's sad really when there are other players who because of their terrible performances have cost us much more then the fact that Gila hasn't been consistant

QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Jan 20 2008, 07:15 PM)
Did I say it was coincidence? did I say it was luck? did I say Gila is crap? NO. I just said he barely played 10 minutes and had his only shot into the net. what makes you think he scored because Milan were playing with two strikers?!...  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
*

As I previously said that fact is the most crucial in the goal. Look at the 3 attackers' positions on the field, and how they made that goal from nothing because of how they where positioned. If Gila was alone upfront in the xmas tree I couldn't see that scenario being played out

QUOTE (bigmacmtl @ Jan 20 2008, 07:22 PM)
look at the play dude. it doesnt start unless pato steals the ball, pato being the 2nd striker.

lets say pato wasnt playing, and kaka was then 2nd punta and he happens to rob the ball off obodo? well he has no one to thread the ball too cuz gila is isolated. it took that middleman to complete the play, 3 guys to link up pato to kaka to gila to the net  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) kaka cant and gila cant do it alone.
*

Exactly

QUOTE (bigmacmtl @ Jan 20 2008, 07:22 PM)
off point a lil, some like to call our midfield the best in the world and gila should be scoring lots well. how many easy chances has he missed this year? 4-5 ok so that means he would still have less than 10 goals! considering he's been by himself up front and has played 60% of time he should have 20 goals if our midfield is as good as some say. the fact of matter remains gila hasn't had many goal scoring opportunities . the rest of his chances are so hard to put away cuz ot's him vs 4 defenders. this is down to our midfield, we really have to question guys like gattuso and seedorf and ambro in our midfield. they can still be useful but we cant start with those 3 all the time, we neeeed more creativity/speed/youth.
*

Sums up our entire season in a paragraph

QUOTE (mishie @ Jan 20 2008, 07:49 PM)
good post and i especially agree with the rino, seedorf and ambro in midfield. Gourcoff needs some play time and either Rino or Ambro need to be dropped and on current form it has to be Gattuso
*

Rino will be kept in the squad, no matter how off form he is, he is still crucial, Ambro is a different type of DMF, And the work Rino puts in when we play with just 1 defensive mid is invalubale. Ambro can't do that.

Hiho.

Saw the game on Spanish tv and watched the postmatch Sunday night thingy on RAI as well as reading the Itailan papers this morning.

It's all 'Gilardinho' in the Italian press now. And Gazzetta gave Gila MOM (both he and Kalac got 7.5 ratings but Gila edged it with his goal). In the RAI program, there was talk of two things: Gila's goal and Nesta more or less pulling down Quagliarella in the box (and it not being called).

We REALLY missed Pirlo in this one. But still...3 points won and a beautiful goal by Gila.

I was in Udine watching the game live (paying 50€ for the ticket). The game was nothing special, but most important are 3 points.

Oh... and nice action for the Gila goal.

FORZA MILAN!!!

Oooh. Hope you had fun going to Udine! It's quite near the Slovenian border, isn't it?

Yes Tennie, it's very near the Slovenian border, but actually I came to Udine with my father from Trieste (I was visiting him and my grandmother during sunday - they are both slovenian but have been living for many years in Italy now).

Well the game was nothing special as you know (have been to better games when Milan playing - especialy at San Siro), but the happiness when Gila scored was immense. 3 points were all that mattered. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
