QUOTE
“Injuries are tearing Milan apart, but the team has to look Juve in the eye and show no fear,” Rossoneri legend Sacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I don’t think they ought to go and press right from their forwards, but not sit back and defend either. They have to play a balanced encounter, just like Gattuso’s men are capable of.

“Rino is a phenomenon, as he has given Milan back their soul. He also makes his team play good and positive football. The only elements his side lacks are a bit of pace and more pressing.

“It’s good that these lads never give in, and keep winning games at the last second. Rino is someone who’d give his life for football and for his players.

“Gattuso has restored dignity to a team that had lost it, he made the players understand what it means to be at Milan.”

This is what Sacchi had to say of Gattuso. Rinho has been on a great run lately. The Juventus game is probably the biggest he has coached so far. This Juve had made two CL finals in the last four years, add to that Christiano. The injuries will be the obstacle he faces going into a very tough fixture.

I wouldn’t count Milan losing to Juventus as a sign of Ringho’s weak position. I truely feel like he will be given a full season. If he delivers a CL birth he would probably be here for a little while longer.

That said, forza Milan! devil.gif

I hope we don't embarrass ourselves like we usually do under Gattuso in big games.

Inter lost 4-1 maybe another upset we can do hopefully smile.gif

We need to play with spirit. That's one thing that's totally in our hands besides the injuries and quality gap. Not another soulless performance like the one vs Inter.

4-2-3-1 tonight, Suso-Castillejo-Hakan behind Higuain.

1 0 down already

Juve should be down to 10

Higuain missed the penalty but the fact that Benatia wasn't given the second yellow is disgusting and typical Juve

Indeed. Didn't think of that.

Good first half, very unlucky regarding that penalty and Benatia.

Posted by: X-Offender Nov 11 2018, 09:30 PM

Just our luck though. Finally we get the chance to equalize vs Juve and Higuain goes missing it. FFS! mad.gif

Posted by: William405 Nov 11 2018, 09:31 PM

Bakayako did well.

Posted by: han2503 Nov 11 2018, 09:38 PM

Abate and Rodriguez on that goal though...

First letting Alex Sandro take an hour to take his cross and then Rodriguez stands still

The penalty from Higuain was good, just a very good save from their keeper

More p!ssed off about Benatia still being on the pitch. That;s a stone cold yellow all day every day.

Posted by: X-Offender Nov 11 2018, 10:06 PM

Rodriguez is such a bad player.

Posted by: Fillipo Simone Nov 11 2018, 10:17 PM

Self destruct.

Posted by: William405 Nov 11 2018, 10:19 PM

Yep. :/ Stupid from Laxalt.

At the end of the day, we have some players that are doing 1000x more the effort, and others that are being lazy. This kind of pisses me off! Specially Hakan..

Posted by: Fillipo Simone Nov 11 2018, 10:20 PM

Typical Hakan, typical Rodriguez. Both should be sold.

Let's not get carried away. Hakan has talent. He's just going through a tough moment with injuries and personal matters. I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

Rodriguez is just bad, though. Such a one dimensional, clunky, clueless player. The first goal is all on him for standing still like a totem pole.

We didn't play bad overall given the strength of our opponent, but we showed all our limits. We need more quality in that midfield, but we also need more attacking power. If possible I would re-direct all our attention in January towards a Biglia replacement and especially a LWF. I've been saying this for months now.

The team put in a good display of strength, the better team won because they were better equipped (both in quality and mentality).

Sure the negative is Milan dropping 3 points, but the positive is the performance and pressure the team excerted. I liked what I saw despite the result.

Posted by: X-Offender Nov 12 2018, 09:29 PM

Bakayoko and Kessie were by far our best players. Rodriguez was atrocious.

Looking back at this I'm personally just angry at the short end of the stick we were given by the ref. Yes Higuain missed the penalty, but Juve should have been down to 10 men for nearly an hour of play which would have eventually helped our cause. Add to that, according to most outlets, Chiellini's pull on Romagnoli in the box was also another penalty that should have been given to us

I'm not someone who looks at incidents like this and basis the entire match result on them and blames the ref entirely for a bad result. But considering the handicap we were coming into the game with all those injuries and players playing while injured, and the fact we were facing Juve here who are by far the best team in the league, it just p!sses me off how they continually get help from the refs. Any other team and Benatia would have been sent off there, no ifs or buts about it. But sine it's Juve it's not given.

We played a good game imo, considering the opposition and the problems we had going in

The red to Higuain was just adding salt to the wound by a referee who did a terrible overall job

Like I said before the game, we need to keep our eyes on the prize, and this particular game was never going to go in our favour anyway so let's just move on from it and take heart in a good overall performance and show of character
