Or sing when you win disappear when you lose (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

We all have faith but some of see reality as well. Even the most hardened Milan fan accepts that we are in decline and have been for a couple of years now, even though we have had a few good results the cracks are there for all to see.

I never disappear .. I am always on this damn forum (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

In comparision to the 05 milan team ?? Yes we are in decline, I already agreed with dst on this over a while ago .. Sometime last season.

The cracks are for all to see, but can u please tell me what is the point of moaning all the time ?! Then it escalates to this player is not good enough, then that player is cr@p (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Seriously I_Rosso .. What do u expect from me ? I would agree that we are not the best ranked team in the Serie A standings atm and I would agree that the management should have done better in the summer! But what good is all this talk now ?! I mean look at how many threads have been bombarded with critics of Milan .. Then Milan shuts them all up with a 0-5 game for just an hour .. Guess what happens next, they start pmsing again and say this is just a one-off (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Don't get me wrong .. I am not Milan's attorney nor the official spokes person. But I have faith in this Milan team; after all I am a fan of the club AC Milan not certain players .. Therefor, even if Milan were to fall to Serie B (God forbid !!) I would still be backing this team! Not cuz i have problems with reality, how could I, this is my reality I love this club so much !

QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Nov 1 2007, 07:16 PM)
Let's not fool ourselves, if we deserved those two titles, they would have been awarded to us not Inter. we were also involved in the Calciopoli (I don't care how much) so we can't exactly say those two Scudetto titles were stolen from us by Juve. but If we count those 2 season titles as "won by Milan", his record still isn't good for the other 4 years: 1 title in four seasons, and let's count the current season too: 1 title in five seasons...

There's no denying Carlo isn't exactly the best coach if we're going for the league title. his Juve also finished runners up in Serie A 2 times. it looks like he's the Second Man in the Serie A...  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
*

Have you seen some of the footage from matches of those seasons?? It was blatantly clear that every time we were endangering Juve of their first place spot a stick would be shoved into our wheels. Results of crucial games against teams like Chievo and Siena were we were disallowed perfect goals that could have won us matches that in the end would have put us ahead of Juve were altered because of bad and undoubtedly influenced referee decisions

Milan were never even charged of match fixing in the first place, they where charged for unsports man conduct.

I am a ferm believer that had those seasons not been tempered with we would have won both scudetti. We were just that good during that time to match Cappello's Milan of the early 90s

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Nov 1 2007, 07:32 PM)
Oh come on !! I never said 4th ... I said anyone but inter wins this season's Scudetto !

And Milan's situation ? I am not a fortune teller, I don't know what the team will make out of this season. Only God knows!

All I did say was, it seems that Milan has other idea's on it's agenda ... And Serie A might not be a priority. I never said Galliani faxed me what the outcome of the season was gonna be (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I don't know if Milan will win the CWC/CL/Serie A ... But I hope Milan do go on and win their second trophy in mid season at Tokyo! That is what I am looking forward to now. I don't know if Milan will win the league !! But i just hope it ain't inter. For me that is where i stand .. If Milan wins it Great  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) ... But I'd be just as happy with the league or CL.
*

You might have bot specifacally said 4th spot but you implied that it would be alright for you if milan didn't win the league as long as they get the CL spot on more then one occasion.

I'm not trying to offend you or the way you support the team that in the end we all support here but it wouldn't be the end of the worl to criticise the team. As I-Rossoneri said, sometimes you've got to take off those rose thinted glasses and look at the reality of our current situation, which isn't good. Yes we ca say we're European champions all we want, but atm we aren't playing like European champions or even like what we expect of Milan and I can't see how any of the fans should eccept that, no matter how much you love the team.

You know I'm normally on your side in terms of how we view the team and on a lot of different oppinions but I can't agree with you on this matter and we could stay here going around in circles over the issue all night and still wouldn't come to a conclusion.

So lets just agree to disagree on the matter for now, and we'll see when we're in a little deeper into the season and either we're finally on our feet or continuing to fight for 4th place and out of the running for the cup competitions.

That's when reality will set in imo, not now, it's still too early for that

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Nov 1 2007, 07:42 PM)
it ain't rose tinted ... it's called having faith in ur team and ur players !
For good or for bad .. This is Milan!
*

Having faith in the team is one thing but never actually seeing any flaws and refusing to acknowledge any of the problems the team is having is called viewing things through rose thinted glasses imo

See it as u like han ... I am still gonna be supporting this team no matter what. Agree to disagree ?! Ok, but just don't come back agreeing with me when we do something extraordinary (as usual) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I never said that we won't do anything special this season, I just have my doubts about it, that's all. And if so I really hope I come and agree with you because I would love nothing more then to see us do something extraordinary this season and to me that is either winning the league or CL. We'll just have to wait and see that's all

As for supporting this team, I will still support this team even if they go down to Serie Z.

I thought u agreed to disagree (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

No chance at sucking up to me now, the registration for Milanfans has closed, go back to ur inter crowd (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) j/k

.... Milan have something special in store for us ... I am sure of this. Apart from the CWC and Kaka' winning the golden ball, this is Maldini's season after all (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I only hope so... Just not sure about it with the way things are going and I know you are going to bring up last season now, but last season I had this feeling that that CL was going to be ours no matter how cr@p we were at the beginning of the season, even before last season started I had that feeling and I've already mentioned this on the board but this year? Not so much...

Maybe it's my turn to have that feeling (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ... In any case, we already started the season with one trophy, we can only do a double now (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

We can only hope, but I personally wouldn't be satisfied with just the super cup, we need to really puch for another trophy this season, especially having the chance to actually get 5 trophies this season, ending up with only one, which is just above the Coppa in it's level of importance would be a dissppointment to me

I know it's a little late, but I've just got home with a print copy of Thursday's Gazzetta. Herewith are brief translations of the player ratings (which they don't include in the online edition) from the Samp game:

Dida 6.5 - Decisive save in the first half, punctual in the saves. He's found himself again.

Bonera 6 - Skillfully adapted as a right back, cancelling out Ziegler. Finished the game on the left, a testimony to his capabilities.

Nesta 6.5 - Plays with the precision of a metronome. Never let either Montella or Bellucci have a chance. Also closed off Caracciolo and Bonazzoli.

Kaladze 6.5 - His header saved by Castelazzi. Did his job without having to overexert himself. Reinforced the left when Serginho moved forward.

Serginho 6.5 - In the first half, seemed half asleep; after the break, he was transformed. When he ran up the left, he always created danger. If he were ten years younger, Milan would have the position filled for a long time.

Brocchi 6.5 - Hard work in the midfield, aided by lungs and tenacity; was there when needed. It was his cross that led to Seedorf's goal.

Pirlo 7 - After the break, he was everywhere. He lit up the game with passes and crosses and milan flew. Picked out Gila for the cross that led to Kaka's goal with a delicate and precise ball. Conducts the orchestra with authority and confirms what everyone already knew: when he's on, the whole team is.

Gattuso 6 - Not currently at his best, but shows the character in the great moments.

Gourcuff 6.5 - Enters and unblocks himself. Signals of awakening.

Seedorf 7 - Every time he touches the ball it's a delight. Dribblign, assist, cross, pirouette, always to the aid of the team.

Kaka 7 - When the box is open, he's there puncutally. There to receive the assist of Gilardino and to score the goal. Afterward flavored things with a series of accelerations that ripped apart Samp's defense.

Gilardino 8 - Took Pirlo's pass and transformed it into an assist for Kaka's goal. Then he throws his head into it. After he protects the ball, turned, and scored. Absolutely the best. Also because during the first half he was notable in defense for helping block a corner kick.

[The LOWEST rating was a 6. Gazzetta usually aren't so lavish in their praise. Much higher average than any other winning team on the matchday. Also of note is an article - also not reproduced in the online verison - talking about Gila's 'rebirth' and that he's finally turning into what Milan had hoped for. They've even referred to him as 'Gilardinho'.]

ANd when he's man-marked, we're stuck.
