Ugh. He's gotta go. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) I can't believe he's higher on the pecking order then Klaas. It's really a shame Huntelaar was never given a chance and now he's most likely gonna be sold to chip away at Ibra's signing. Boriello should go, not Klaas.

My heart breaks everytime I think of this man and how much he squandered by moving to Chelsea. He lost 3 years of his professional career by making that move. It's tragic to think what he could've accomplished had he stayed. I'm convinced he had a lot to offer chelsea when he left us, but he was completely mistreated by Mourinho. Rather than whine like a prima donna Sheva handled his situation with nothing but class and humility. He was dumped in a system dominated by blind faith in Frank Lampard and the long ball. It made me sick how many times I would see Chelsea's midfielders launch a shot from 30 yards out rather than play the ball forward to a wide open Shevchenko. Chelsea had a gem and treated it like trash.

Best of luck in the Champions League Sheva. I pray Dynamo advance to the knock-out stages at the expense of Inter. I would love to to see Mourinho's sh*t-eating grin wiped off his face by a stunning performance by our former No. 7. FORZA SHEVA!!!

Have you seen Sheva play recently?

Yes, I admit he looks a bit slow, but I still think he has some quality; I think if given the chance to play alongside Pato the two of them might actually make a good pairing. Sigh, maybe I'm just a bit sentimental;

This is Gazzetta's current projected lineup (and yes it is very sad indeed):

Abbiati

Zambrotta Bonera Maldini Jankulovski

Beckham Emerson Pirlo Seedorf

Pato Inzaghi

Well they must have forgotten about Flamini, he would start over Emerson.

Is Sheva just not ever an option anymore? Is he really that past it? Why not Pato-Sheva?

We can't have Seedorf and Dinho both up there, that will kil whatever attack we have going, both are way to slow. I vote we revert back to the trusted 4-3-1-2 formation

Dinho behind Pato and Pippo or Sheva.

I put the draw squarely on Carlo's shoulders and his slavish dedication to the 4-5-1 formation. I don't care if that's what got us as far as 2nd place so far this season. Given the immense talent of this squad 2nd place should be an embarrassment. Ironically, considering the state of things, we'll be lucky if we finish that high by season's end. Tonight's draw was a disgrace.

I can except Seedorf for Shevchenko or Inzaghi, but Senderos???

Agree 100% should've kept the pressure on by bringing on another striker. Considering how bad or old our defenders are I think Offense is the best Defense for now, it's getting harder and harder for us to cling on to one goal leads.

Am I crazy for thinking that we should go back to the 4-3-1-2 formation with Kaka playing a "wandering attacking midfielder role." I feel that when he's up with Pato, he pushes up too far and gets too few touches on the ball. I think he should slip farther back into midfield so he can carry the ball forward and distribute the ball to the forwards...Just a thought.

I have no problem with that, a win is a win. It's just when we throw games away after taking the lead because we only have a 1 goal lead that it's annoying.

As in our match against Fiorentina. Lazio in the Copa Italia etc...

I would sooner play Seedorf in the trequartista rather than R80. R80 doesn't add anything at all to our general gameplay and is only really at his best if/when we get freekicks near to goal. Credit to carlo for being brave and leaving him on the bench (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I'm waiting for him to be brave enough to abandon the 4-3-2-1 formation. I'm tired of seeing us squeak by on 1-goal wins. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Reds' Agger set to join AC Milan - report
From ESPN Soccernet.com

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is set for a move to AC Milan if reports in Denmark are to be believed.

Agger: Has failed to win back his place at Anfield.
The Danish international defender has failed to recover his first-team place after missing the entire 2007-8 season with a foot injury. Agger has been reportedly unhappy with the lack of opportunities and the lack of a new contract.

Despite injury to Martin Skrtel, Agger has made just nine appearances for Liverpool.

The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that his representative Per Steffensen met San Siro sporting director Ariedo Braida and Italian agent Rino Foschi for lunch in Milan this week.

Danish website Tipsbladet says that the Rossoneri wanted the defender, who starred for the Reds in their run to the 2007 Champions League Final they lost to Milan, as a replacement for Alessandro Nesta, on whom injuries have taken their toll.

Tipsbladet reports that a fee of 60 million kroner, around £7.5m, has been agreed.

Hopefully we'll see a much more well balanced side to the one we saw against Roma.

I personally would like to see this

Zambro--Paolo--Bonera--Antonini
Flamini--Pirlo--Seedorf
Kaka
Pato--Sheva

Kaka rejects world record bid from Man CityManchester City's £100 million swoop for Serie A star Kaka has been dealt a swift blow after the Brazilian playmaker claimed he wanted "to grow old at Milan".

Kaka: Target for Manchester City

A City delegation led by chief executive Garry Cook flew to the San Siro on Tuesday to table the world record breaking offer along with weekly wages of £250,000 but the AC Milan favourite has blown any deal out of the water.

"As long as the club keep high objectives, my desire will always be to stay at Milan," Kaka told Italian TV station Sport Mediaset, which is owned by Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi.

"I want to get old here and my objective for the future is to become this team's captain."

"I refused important offers in the past."

Earlier on Wednesday Kaka's spokesman Diogo Kotscho said it was "not impossible" that a deal could be concluded during the January transfer window but warned that money alone would not be enough to lure his client to Manchester.

"To accept Manchester City, Kaka wouldn't do a matter based on money", Kotscho said. "But to the competitiveness of the English side.

"Ricky would like a strong side. He would never do something like Robinho, who, just to earn more, contented himself with not a winning solution."

And while the Rossoneri are currently only competing in the UEFA Cup after a disappointing campaign last season, Kaka insists he will stay faithful to the club if they continue to build on the legacy of seven European Cups and 17 Serie A titles.

In the summer, City set a new British transfer record when the signed Robinho from Real Madrid for £32 million and billionaire owners Abu Dhabi United where hoping to make another statement of intent in the transfer market by setting a new world record.

The most expensive transfer fee in football history remains the £48 million Real Madrid paid Juventus for Zinedine Zidane in 2001.

Asked if Kaka would consider other clubs if City's offer did not suit either Milan or himself Kotscho said: "Yes he will. But as I said we have to have a deal between the two clubs and negotiations with AC Milan for Kaka ... is a very difficult challenge.''

Milan chief fires title warning at Inter and Juve [soccernet.com]

December 18, 2008

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has warned Inter Milan and Juventus that his side are still very much in the hunt for the Scudetto.

The Rossoneri were beaten 4-2 at Juve on Sunday and go into this weekend's home game against strugglers Udinese nine points behind Serie A leaders Inter.

Nevertheless, the Milan chief is adamant the title remains his target for the season despite the high number of injuries weighing on the mind of coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is without the likes of Kaka and Gennaro Gattuso.

''Our Scudetto ambitions remain the same,'' said Galliani. ''We believe we have an ultra-competitive side. We just need a bit of health as we have seven players out injured and that is a lot.

''Last season we won two trophies and we hope to win something this campaign. We are still in contention for the Scudetto and the UEFA Cup.''

Milan will have a special guest at the San Siro this weekend with David Beckham, who will join the Rossoneri on a loan deal from Los Angeles Galaxy in January, set to attend the game.

Jose Mourinho's Inter will focus on ending Siena's unbeaten run at home on Saturday...

Unfortunatlely our defense was pathetic once again; allowing Wolfsburg to twice get back in the game for a draw. If anything gets done over the transfer window, we need to find young, strong, physical defenders who can push people off the ball, close down forwards and give the rossoneri a clean sheet for once. I think that might be my Christmas wish..."Dear Santa please give Milan three great defenders during the transfer window." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Aside from the defense...I didn't think Seedorf was much of a help either. Aside from his corner-kick assist for the first goal, I found myself yelling at my computer each time I saw him slow up an attack. Like 5 or 6 times Pato, Sheva, or Pippo were totally open for great through-ball opportunities, and Seedorf would just slow down and try and beat a defender...really p1ssed me off...oh...and dios mio, what;s happening to Pirlo? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/panicsmiley2.gif)

Gotta say, though he was invisible against Juve...Sheva played really well again tonight...he assisted in Pato's goal, had a few great runs on goal (had Seedorff picked him out he would've been alone on goal) and had one incredible run towards the end of the match which was...Magnifique!!! Ancelotti stays defiant, ‘Winter break will do us good’

MILAN: AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti refused to rule his side out of the Serie A title race after a 4-2 defeat at Juventus on Sunday.

Milan, who were without the injured Kaka, Mathieu Flamini and Gennaro Gattuso, are now nine points behind leaders Inter Milan and three behind second-placed Juve after 16 games.

The Rossoneri, only fifth last season, host faltering Udinese next weekend before a mid-season break when David Beckham joins on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy.

“I think there will definitely be a reaction to this defeat.

“The winter break will be useful as we will get some players back,” former Juve boss Ancelotti told Sky.

“From a defensive point of view, we gave them too much. We started the game really well.

“We’ve had a lot of injuries and been without some important players.”

Brazilian-born striker Amauri, signed for €22.8mil (US$30.3mil) from Palermo in the close season having played for Chievo among others, grabbed two of Juve’s goals.

Juve coach Claudio Ranieri was thrilled with the 28-year-old, who is waiting for an Italian passport and may make himself available for Italy boss Marcello Lippi having never been called up by Brazil.

“I expected it as the club paid lots of money for him. Amauri arrived at the right time, he has gained experience around Italy and has matured before joining us. He is doing great things,” Ranieri beamed.

“We knew Milan would start strongly and we suffered a lot in the first 10 minutes but I had faith.” — Reuters
