FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Lilian Thuram and Gianluca Zambrotta. Thuram has signed a two-year contract while Zambrotta has committed himself for the next four years.

This Thursday, Thuram and Zambrotta became the latest additions to the Barca squad for the 2006-07 season following on from Eidur Gudjohnsen's move from Chelsea earlier in the summer. The former Juventus stars were two of the outstanding players in the recently finished World Cup and were included in the tournament's best eleven.

Thuram and Zambrotta, together with the rest of the Barca squad who took part in the World Cup, will join up with the team for the tour of Mexico and the United States.

Exactly.

I hope we win it when we get back, so all these players that rejected us for not getting CL football will know on what they missed out on.

It appears that we got ---
Gourcuff
Foggia
Brocchi
favali
dalla bona

Its not really a first class list of players. Gourcuff has potential.

Wheres the replacement for Scheva-- who could fill his shoes?

Milan have been weak since the winter transfer market.

You have Chelsea, Barca, and Real Madrid who have made great acquistions, we need to get on the ball and gets some talent. Get rid of Galliani and get someone who will bring some trophies to table.

Trophies is what we want, but this team needs just a few modifications, it surpassed Madrid Barca and Chelsea in the past 4 seasons .. Maybe two defenders and a forward, then we'll be good to go, other than that I am content with what this team has to offer (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Congrats to Barca. They stole Zambrotta from us and from Real.

I just hope Capello beat Catalunia FC in La Liga and in CL Chelsea will kill them easily.

I agree, this summer's signings have been a laughable, if only it were funny that is. I completely agree that some kind of replacement needs to be found for Sheva, but Milan have done nothing.

Missing out on Zambrotta, who made a point of wanting to stay in Italy, is frankly criminal. What the hell is going on at the San Siro presently. It's as if everyones gone on holiday.
