Check out the official site guys...mass apologies pouring in for the team. There's Carlo, there's Galliani, and there's Dida.

10ster translate please. I can't make head or tail of what Dida was trying to say.

This is bad! If Janku stays out for a month we're screwed. Favalli is a good defender but he can't help in attack...
*

Indeed we are screwed. If Srna plays for Shakhtar we are done. No Favalli, no Kaladze, noone can stop him. So I'd suggest at least Sergio cause of his speed and attacking ability that would distract Srna. But I suppose Carlo won't be ajusting his formation for "minor" teams like Shakhtar. But with Fav or Kala on LB we will eventually conceed and it will be Srna...

-----------------Dida-----------------
---------Nesta-------Bonera (Simic)----
--Oddo-------------------------Serginho--
-----------Emerson------------------------
---------------------------Ambrosini-------
------------------Pirlo----------------------
-------Seedorf-------------Kaka-----------
-----------------Pippo-----------------------

Something like this. Pippo starting, Gila in as a sub. Also, I'd prefer Emerson to Gattuso cause Rino is really in low form right now,..

They've translated (badly) Carletto's postgame comments. As for Dida, he walked the circuit of the pitch and bowed in apology to each section. They haven't translated the player comments post-empoli, which is unfortunate (bits of Maldini's comments made it to goal articles but that's it). Oddo is pretty blunt: there are no excuses, we played badly, we've got to improve. Galliani's interview/comment is mostly the same sort of thing he normally says but even he says that a solution needs to be found, etc.

From Carletto's prematch comments:

[We're on the eve of an important game and we'll face it with our two attackers (Gila/Pippo?)....Kaladze will stay in his role in the center (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/realmad.gif) and at the left we'll trade off between Serginho and Favalli. Tomorrow Favalli will start. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Kaka? Right now, that's the big question mark. He's had a swollen knee since he got back. We have another day, we'll see if he recovers.]

link

Also of note: Kaka DID train with the group today and it was Ambro, not Maldini, who did the pre-match player interview.

Gila-Pippo again? Did that combo ever work?

I think we'll get a much better performance out of the team with Gourcuff and Seedorf supporting a lone striker. That is, if Kaka can't play.

To the best of my knowledge... NEVER. it's like playing with nine players, because they completely defuse each other. what a lovely pair they are (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I hope we start with Serginho, especially after we know that Kala will be a CB,..

Carlo confirmed Favali for lb in the press conference (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) But I'm sure we'll see him take part at some point of the game (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE
Lucescu is wary about a backlash from the holders, however. "Milan cannot afford to lose two home games in a row so the atmosphere will be hot," he said. "They will try to score early so they can open up space – they are lethal when they have space. They know Shakhtar are a good side with good ability. We will not change our usual approach. We cannot play like Empoli did here on Sunday. We are not coming to defend. We want to receive the plaudits of the San Siro."
