Manuel Neuer
21 Years, GK
Club: Schalke 04 (aka FC Gazprom)

Don't know if he was already mentioned on this forum but IMO he's the biggest GK talent out there. I've never seen such a brilliant and calm goalie as he is. He managed to bench Frank Rost, one of Germanys best goalie in the mid of the season. His reactions are simply amazing as well as his game in the box.

Sebastian Viera is the top young keeper in my eyes. He's only 23 and already proven.. Holds an Italian passport, too. Would be a nice replacement when Dida decides to call it a day.

Name: Diego Sebastián Viera Galaín
Birth Place: Florida, Uruguay
Date of Birth: July 03, 1983 (age 23)
Club: Villarreal CF

I know he's not that young, and everybody already knows who he is, doesn't mean he still can't be a top young keeper. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Obviously. But other than Mahdavikia and the legend that was Daei, all other Iranian players are not even close. Maybe Nekounam who plays for Osasuna in the Liga. Here's the thing, if Teymourian was to join Milan, he would be a great signing. I couldn't say the same about other Iranian players. He was the Asian player of the year and being dubbed is the 'Asian Maradona' a couple years ago. Probably one of the most talented players out there. But what is the problem you ask? He hates playing football. He only plays for the money. And these are his own words... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) While still playing in Iran, before he went to Al Ahli, he had offers from Atletico and Arsenal, but he refused because Al Ahli was offering more money. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Then he joined Bayern because he got bored with Arab football. Now he is bored from German football. What a waste of talent. I hate him. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I consider young players that are good prospects to be 21 at the oldest.

You can hardly call a 23 year old a prospect, he may only have 6 or so years left in him, by the time he gets to his best he may only have a few years at that level.

23 is definitely young. Players have different growth though.

I'm changing my mind, 23 for a normal players isn't neccesarily young. It's different for a 'keeper though, they peak later.

So I'd say Viera is young. Thank god he didn't go to Arsenal. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE (Porty @ May 31 2007, 05:39 PM)
Not consistent. He started the season well but in the last 7-8 matches he was sh!t. Too selfish sometimes. He's more like a "Joga Bonito" guy.

No way he'll be/is better than Ronaldo. Mentally Cristiano is way better. Quaresma is too weak in that field.
Anyway, we don't go for wingers. Specially a gipsy.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Please, it's not like Ronaldo is mentally strong, putting aside the fact that he cries like a 2 year old when something goes wrong for him, you'll see that if he comes up a against a team that marks him he won't even try to do anything, he resorts to hiding, not to mention his choking habits against big teams.

And besides Ronaldo is great at destroying weak teams that don't know how to defend in the premiership but when he comes up against a good, defensively organised team he can't do anything.

I've watched a lot or C.R this season, I've even watched him come on and win a game for Man U all on his own this season, but I still stand by what I said.

I would like to see what Ronaldo could actually do in Serie A, I would put money on him failing

CR's only problem is the he doesn't think... you can't do the exact same thing against Charlton and against Milan! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

who was Toni 3 seasons ago? Top Serie B goalscorer, nothing more!

and at that time he was 27, with 28y he started his real career in Seria A with Palermo, and became great with 29. And not he moved to Bayern considered a big-signing with 30y (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

so, 23 can still be a prospect (not always, but YES sometimes)

C.R. has the talent, abilities, quality, speed, technique, but YES he misses some things that you mentioned.

But he just needs another season or two max. to get experience and become a full player. A player which will also succeed in Seria A.

Great talent IMO. Does anyone here know him?
Hereis a video of him. Bad quality, but you get an idea of the player.
