Looks like Carletto will be replaced by Benitez, who is seen by Del Bosque as "one of the best coaches in the world". IMHO, Ancellotti is much, much better than Benitez, but ...

Agreed, Benitez is a good cup coach but other than that, he's pretty terrible imo

Sounds like RM thinks so (or maybe they just feel they need a change). IMHO, it is a bad call. I understand they need to appease the fans, but surely they can find someone better. Then again, with the players they have it is real hard to screw up.

Well what's new? Just like last summer's decisions to sell Di Maria and Alonso were brilliant moves and replacing them with more marketable players. It's typical Perez tbh, the Golactico thing has proven to be a failure more than once now. Carlo had a good mix and balance last season and it was completely shaken up by those signings

Carlo coming Galliani don't promise **** you can't deliver..hes taking a year out for surgury why manage us..although i would love Carlo back. Inzaghi goes to Salusso and prolly going to do well there with an actual team.

What is Salusso? Is it Sassuolo? Do they really have an "actual team"?

Anyway. I think Benitez is a bad pick. I thought it would be Klopp. But well, Han is right on this one. It's typical Real. But not just Perez, it's overall Real. One would have thought that winning the Decima, something a line of coaches managed not to accomplish, would give you some credit. But no. They decided to cut of the head by selling Di Maria and now dismissing Ancelotti. Instead of building on their wins (like Milan did in the 80s and the 90s, and again with Carlo), they decided to press the restart button and take God knows how many more years to win what they already dream of.

No respect, no credit. That's what always appalled me with Spanish football in general.

U.S. Sassuolo Calcio (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) cheeky rascal.

compared to ours they are a team yes in my opinion and Inzaghi was far better off going to them or staying with our youth team then thrown into the deep end of this season. Also on the topic of U.S. Sassuolo Calcio they actually look like they play for each other. Some of ours don't look they give a ****.

Berardi always kills us and will do so for years and years in a Juve shirt. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Yeah. It depends on Juve whether they'll remain a team or not. But yes Ry4n, they had a better season and overall looked to gel this year.

Well I don't foresee the utter demolition if we actually improve. We've been utterly terrible since he's been playing against us.

Nothing official on the Bayern website, but ESPN and Di Marzio are reporting that Carletto has been sacked by Bayern.

I'm really surprised by this. He must have really lost the team. But it's so unusual for that to happen. Probably the first time in his career, his team hasn't been dead loyal to him.

Well the only one to have publicly not voiced support is Robben. But yeah, things seem to have been a mess in Munich. Bayern is an aging squad that wasn't really reinforced. Lahm retired at the end of the season. There's also the behind the scenes shenanigans between Rummenigge and Hoeness and they didn't really replaces Mattias Sammer until hiring Brazzo a few weeks ago.

So yeah, some of it may be on Carletto. However, the players aren't without blame and the management sure isn't.

Very strange feeling. I've never imagined him taking over such a "guerrilla" club/team.

Me neither. But truth be told, over the past year he's been pushed into the tier 2 of coaches. People are wondering if he really is the guaranteed winner that almost all big clubs want. So this is a great chance for him to re-invent himself and establish something.

From Napoli's perspective, a deep run into the CL plus a coach who can attract top talent will be interesting for sure. I doubt they brought in Carlo to challenge for the league.

As things stand, one of Sarri or Conte will be available next year. I like it, in case the Gattusso project for the new season goes South.
