Another Argentinian (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)   They don't have good Italians at all.

Tevez and Suazo? They already have: Crespo, Adriano, Zlatan, Recoba and Cruz.

Tevez, Suazo, Ibrahimovic and Crespo.

Recoba is leaving, Adriano probably too for Real. Cruz... I dunno. He might stay.

They also have Andreolli. Whether he can be considered a footballer is another question.

Czech international Pavel Nedved has revealed Juventus are keen to land Hamburg playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart.

The Italian giants bounced straight back to Serie A last season and according to Nedved, new boss Claudio Ranieri wants the Dutchman to run their midfield next term.

"Juventus are incredibly keen on Rafael. They want him to guide our game," Nedved was quoted in German daily Bild.

Reports suggest the Old Lady are ready to test Hamburg's resolve with a €10 million (£6.8million) bid.

The Hamburg skipper, who is tied to the AOL Arena side until 2010, recently turned down an offer from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and left no doubts about his strong commitment to the Rothosen.

We could do with him, damn Juve (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Why don't he just retire!?? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Anyway, we should make a new Serie A thread or rename this one.

In Italy, we were the ONLY BIG team with profits ..

QUOTE
Today financial newspaper ‘Il Sole 24 Ore’ claims that the Nerazzurri had the worst economic problems in Serie A, running at a loss of £122m that year.

The debt was covered by an increase in capital performed by oil baron Massimo Moratti and the shareholders.

Juventus ran at a loss of £24m and of the ‘big’ clubs only Milan made a profit at £1.6m.

In Serie A the healthiest finances belonged to Udinese, who ended up with a profit of £4.4m.

In that sense, Milan is a healthy organization (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

But Inter .. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) .. They have to drop the merda to Serie B !!!! There is no other way, let the merda burn !

Spalletti: We had to sell Chivu

Luciano Spalletti concedes Roma had no choice but to sell £12m rated Cristian Chivu and will use the money to further strengthen their attack.

“I understood Chivu’s decision and he was honest throughout,” explained the Coach to ‘Il Romanista’ newspaper.

“His choice was dictated by numbers, his age and motivation. He was offered such an impressive contract and has given us so much, so this must be comprehended and accepted. When we spoke he was very open.”

The Romanian defender’s future has not yet been decided, as although Barcelona have seemingly pulled out of the bidding war, Inter and Real Madrid continue to battle for his signature, with the Nerazzurri leading the way.

The £12m requested for Chivu will prove useful in strengthening Roma’s front like and players such as Victor Obinna, Julio Cruz and Ludovic Giuly have been named among the potentials to be included in the deal.

“In all honesty I’d like any of those three. Besides, we already have Mirko Vucinic and Vincenzo Montella returns from his loan at Fulham. If we find a player with different characteristics, then he’d be welcome. Perhaps we do miss a wide attacker.”

The Giallorossi have been heavily linked with Cagliari winger Mauro Esposito and Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale, so alternatives for Amantino Mancini and Rodrigo Taddei – who were exhausted by the end of the season – are on their wishlist.

“Clearly we have to replace Francesco Tavano and Christian Wilhelmsson on the flanks. Esposito is certainly of interest to us. I won’t comment on Fabio Quagliarella’s quality, as otherwise Udinese director general Pietro Leonardi will go on the radio and complain…”

Udinese reacted angrily earlier this month when Roma stated their interest in Quagliarella and teammate Di Natale.

Roma have returned Wilhelmsson to Nantes and Tavano to Valencia, although the Italian is already back in Italy for Livorno.

The club has also signed some reinforcements such as Bayer Leverkusen’s Brazilian defender Juan, Chievo midfielder Matteo Brighi and Rimini’s Ghanaian revelation Ahmed Apimah Barusso.

“If we do get a defender to replace Chivu, it will be a promising youngster rather than a top star. We already have three mature players for that role in Juan, Philippe Mexes and Matteo Ferrari,” added Spalletti.

Yet there are reports in the same newspaper today that Roma have been offered Cicinho, who does not fit into Real Madrid’s plans after the dismissal of Fabio Capello.

The 27-year-old with a Italian passport had already been close to the Giallorossi last season, but preferred the Merengues and was then out for six months with a knee ligament injury.
