Also, this team, with this defence cannot play a 4-2-3-1 with one of the pivot players being Reijnders. It leaves us exaposed and wastes all his good qualities.

We have the players for a proper 4-3-3, even a mid player like RLC would look much better in a midfield 3 than what we're doing now with him in the AM position.

For me, the best midfield 3 would be Bennacer, Fofana and Tijjani, with the latter being slightly more advanced than the other 2.

Yeah, but don't forget how this management tried to f*ck Bennacer over. As per my understanding, some of Bennacer's intermediaries misinformed him he would get important offers from Saudi, and based on this we decided to put him on the market. But these offers never came. In the very last day Atletico and Marseille tried to sign him on loan but it was too late for negotiations to go through.

Did you know Bennacer didn't train for 3 days last week? Some say he faked medical certificates. He also appears slightly overweight.

His whole situation was handled terribly by this so-called management. Now how do you re-integrate a player who might be shown the door again in January? How do you make sure he's fit and motivated for the next 4 months?

I know Bennacer has had a drop in his performances, but he's a great player and needs to feel important and part of the project. We've done the complete opposite. Apparently his 4M wages are too much for this management. My god, I can't stand RedBird anymore.

A coach worth his salt would manage to re-integrate the player if he thinks he's worth it. And Bennacer imo is that.

And yeah, RedBird have basically undone all the forward progress we'd made under Elliot. They took over a championship winnind side and we've regressed every season since then.

Inter keep attacking the same way, each time you know what they're going to do and each time we fall right into it. Theo at least dealing with Dumbfries, Emerson on the other hand is just an idiot.

Can't believe we've finally cracked the Inter code!

Some very encouraging signs tonight. I hope it wasn't just the derby lift and Fonseca is finally starting to get his word across. Much better shape, much better transitions, build-up still questionable. Need to get Rafa more involved but I really like the Tammy, Morata, Puli combos.

Although considering last season we couldn't even wake up to stop them winning the title, I think overall this was very good and gives me great hope.

Theo back on top of that right side dual. Emerson finally got it together a bit in the 2nd half but had more to do with Di Marco's poor stamina. He can cross though, I'll give him that

wow. least expected especially considering how the midweek went for us and as compared to inter drawing at City.

But this was a well deserved win. Let's hope we can build on this as Han said not just a derby lift.

3 wins on the bounce in the league. I'm still skeptical of this 4-4-2 but when Morata gets on the ball you can see how it can really work, and most importantly we look more stable in defence. Still some obvious vulnerabilities, Emerson just cannot defend imo. But Gabbia/Tomori is looking much better than the previous pairings, Pavlovic is a promising player, but a bit too clumsy on the ball for my taste, plus I think Tomori is much more comfortable on the left side of the defence for whatever reason.

Fofana slowly integrating, still want to see more from him. Tammy really unlucky but his ethic is 2nd to none.

The build-up still needs much improving, we're too static which makes it difficult to break down teams that are going to defend like Lecce wanted to do yesterday.

Real test comes on Tuesday and then at Fiorentina. Let's see if we can turn this into a run of good form.

My thinking is that against teams like Leverkusen/Inter we simply have to play on the counter. We have all the components to really hurt teams and Tammy is such a great focal point to play off of.

I feel like ever since we've been back in this competition we've been f@cked over at every turn, starting with that Atletico Madrid game and what happened yesterday. Tapsoba should have been sent off after that deliberate foul on Theo and then that foul on Tammy which should have also been a pen. Add to that the RLC foul which many classify as a penalty as well since the foul was on the line of the penalty area and that just puts the cherry on the cake.

We keep getting the short end of the stick in this competition. Against Liverpool we deserved to lose as we were absolute dog sh!t. But yesterday we did not. This competition has been ruined by greed, has been for a long time but not it's getting even worse with this ridiculous format.

We're not getting into the top 8 teams anyway, I say we blow it off for now, we'll still be in the play offs next year. For now just concentrate on the league.
