I liked Montella's management of this match. He made the right subs, changed the formation correctly, and overall the team responded.
It wasn't the best we've played this season, and the referee as against Sassuolo was diabolical, but we deserved the win and that's three really huge wins in a row now. Delofeu, DeCampos and Sosa have given us a new lease of life, and Vangioni impressed me tonight. That's not quite the depth we need, but it is options and it's given us formation switches in recent matches which have worked perfectly. Things just look a little better right now, and I can only pray it lasts. |
