You're also not getting away with slipping MDS in there! Nice try though.

Aww, c'mon. I gave a 0.5. Well I think it would a bit too much to expect youth breakthroughs to happen every year. Instead, we should look at youth development in skills etc. The breakthrough isn't really the big deal. Maldini broke through because of an injury to a first teamer for example.

And you're telling me a Serie A and EPL winner with 120M or more to spend and the possible arrival of Aguero is a bad thing?!

Meh! I think we've had enough years where it's always a restart for the season with a new coach and a new philosophy. What I want is actually some consistency and continuity.

No, I've never rated Mancini. He's a flat track bully. He's never even challenged unless his team was so overloaded with heavy superstars that the rest of the people couldn't even come close. In a way Carlo was the same with the league, but at least, he went deep in the Champions League so we know he could coach.

Mancini made his name thanks to Calciopoli irrationally strengthening Inter, and then Man City just taking spending to new heights. He's done nothing new tactically - has no victories I'd consider spectacular nothing.

He will contribute nothing as coach - the 120 MM will. I'd rather give 120 MM to Montella. Considering the work he's done this season without complaint, god knows he deserves the chance.

+1

I think Mancini is seriously overrated. With the money he had at Man City he should have won the CL, or at least come close. I rate Montella higher. So AFAIAC 120M good, Mancini bad.

Having said this, my brother, who (hate to admit to it) is an Inter fan, rates Mancini highly.

I don't rate Mancini hugely either, but you can't dismiss his record just because you want to.

He's won big, and fwiw if you're going to diss his failure to win UCL at CIty, you have to do the same with Pep at Bayern.

What is all this? If anybody other than the current gaffer then it has to be Ancelotti!

Sure there are tons of coaches out there, Conte being highly rated IMO. But for the consistency you ask for we have to continue with the same coach or bring back Don Carlo. With 120M he'd rocket us back to CL contention.
