These 3 seem to be the front-runners for the Milan job this summer.

Is there a preference on MF?

If I had to choose from those 3 I'd be torn between AVB and Prandelli.

I know there's also small talk about Inzaghi but I think he'll stay with Primavera.

I think Seedorf is already a done deal

But for me, from that list, Prandelli would be the first choice

Seedorf's biggest negative is that he's ridiculously inexperienced. He'll literally be jumping from being a player 1 year and coaching a top club the next

I don't think it's the wisest move for both parties

That being said, I think Seedorf has it in him to be a top coach in the future, he's got the intelligence for it, no doubt, but next season is just too soon for him to take this step

Yeah, I think Seedorf, as the cheapest, will probably be our next coach. I don't think it's even down to him being a 'yes' man - but the same silly sentimentality which has us living in the past and trying to reclaim it. Seedorf is is one of football's greatest-ever players while being comically under-rated by so many given just how glittering his career was.

But he's not ready to go, as said, from a player straight into management despite his obvious intelligence.

Prandelli is described as a 'safe pair of hands' and that he is, but he's not a winning manager. A couple of Serie B promotions is not quite winning Serie A. Roma and Fiorentina are no Milan and I will be curious to see what his Italy does this summer before I subscribe to wanting him at Milanello.

No, the only manager I've mentioned who knows how to win on continental Europe is AVB - he had awful times of it in England but he did amazing things with Porto both domestically and in Europe. Whether that means he can handle continental European football better than British remains to be seen.

Like I say, torn between him and Prandelli.

But, as you all say, it's almost certainly moot given Seedorf is the easy and cheap option.

AVB is a no from me. My younger brother is a big fan of Chelsea and follows EPL religiously. So I was given to understand he was a stubborn fool, who insisted on players fitting his philosophy and formation. Which was the 4-2-3-1. He would do it at the cost of team harmony and chemistry.

A silly insistence on his part and has led to his downfall in all his previous jobs except Porto.

For me, Prandelli-->Inzaghi-->Seedorf.

Prandelli will sign for us after Italy's WC.

Seedorf could come in at some capacity, yet I doubt him being our coach. I love Seedorf and would support him from the heart. Just don't see any logic in him being the coach just yet.

Most managers do this. And it's infuriating. Square pegs in round holes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

IMO all mentioned coaches are inadequate for what we need.

Galliani's talk of how Seedorf has a position leads me to believe Clarence is coming back. However not as a coach. I think he will occupy the role that Leonardo used to occupy. His Brazil sojourn might also have been useful from that perspective.

Well sadly we're not going to get one of the best in the business. We're not going to pay a handsome salary and right now we're a borderline poisoned chalice.

I've heard talk of Frank de Boer - absolutely zero possibility of a young, fresh, aspiring and promising manager.

Stam could be Seedorf's assistant.

Is it, though? The coach is the gamble here, not the assistant.
