Milan Testing Waters Ahead Of David Villa Move
goal.com

After losing out to Inter Milan in the race for David Suazo, AC Milan are set to launch a bid for Valencia's star striker David Villa.
Milan Testing Waters Ahead Of David Villa Move

The Milan bosses have once again been forced to intensify their search for a front man, and while that have not given up on their hopes of landing either Andriy Shevchenko or Samuel Eto'o, a plan B is now in place.

The Corriere dello Sport suggest that the Rossoneri will make an approach for David Villa, offering Valencia 16 million euros and Ricardo Oliveira (rated at 8-10 million) in a bid to convince them to sell.

If true, it will be a rather optimisting approach, as Valencia are unlikely to accept anything less than 40 million euros for the player.

However, there are suggestions that Milan are making the offer simply to test the waters, and will improve their bid if the Che bosses show a willingness to sell.

Thus far, Valencia have only mentioned a rather prohibitive 70 million sum in order to ward off interest, and the forward has himself pledged his future to the club.

However, Quique Sanchez Flores' plans for the summer are as yet unknown, after he finally managed to wrest control of the technical side of the club from Amedeo Carboni.

If Valencia do decide to sell, there is likely to be nothing short of war, with Chelsea and Liverpool both keen on him as well.

Villa isn't coming to Milan (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

If Milan are buying anyone from Spain; they are Emerson and R10 .. Villa, Torres, and Etoo are not and never have been in Milan's cross-hairs ... Milan doesn't need them, atm

Right,...

And starting a battle about Villa with does millionaire-maniacs at Chelsea or Liverpool would only mean we`ve had to be prepared to cash off some 40-45 million euros...and Villa isn`t worth that...

Yeah. He's not coming here. Leaving Spain he'd probably move to EPL. But we could use Oliveira in the deal... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Shame. One of the best out there.

Would love this player but see about as much chance of him joining us as Kaka going to Madrid (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Villa? impossible!

I don't know what the hell is Baldy going to do, but I thank God that Juve signed Iaquinta, otherwise we would've ended up with Iaquinta!

Say that, and mean it, at the end of the season. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Its kind of scary at this point with our real options

The big names all point to remaining where they are at--

Etoos 95% towards Barcelona- as stated we can't afford his demands

Ronaldinho 70% Barcelona- if we can't afford Etoo we can't afford Ronaldinho

Villa 90% Valencia

Kanoute 100% Sevilla

Drogba 90% Chelsea

Torres 50% with big Prem clubs chasing him.

Scheva 70% stay with Chelsea

Tevez 90% stay unless Real Madrid as stated

Gudjohnson- 50 % stay most likely to Prem

Saviola(free transfer)- Will leave

Huntlear or Babel- I don't how effective he could be in Italy.

Trezgeut- I don't know what his situation is

Adriano- Inter probably won't sell him to us.

Henry's out. Iaquintas out. Suazos out. Tiagos out(midfield).

Who else is there guys?

Toni is also out...
Wiltord is up to a free transfer, and he has 33,...I`m suprised our board hasn`t allready contacted him (not that I want him,.. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )

And what about C.Lucarelli?

Some suggestions:

Ismaël Bangoura (Le Mans)
Samir Nasri (OM) -allright, he is a AM, but I think he would make it here..
Miroslav Klose (Werder)
Afonso Alves (Heerenveen)

The day Klose wears a Milan shirt, I wear an Inter shirt. That'd better not happen.

Nasri and Lucarelli are the two I'd like of the guys you mentioned, Lucarelli inparticular. He's proven in he can score goals with Livorno and he's the sort of age that we usually buy (31).

If we weren't able to bring in a mid-twenties top striker this season, I wouldn't mind bringing him in as a quick fix for the season.

Lets just get Emerson or another good DM and Lucarelli (Who is more or less a decent player).

We could also get Arda Turan. He is 21 and a great player. He is AM, but still... Only, unfortunately he will have to wait until he is 30 to give up his place on Milan bench to some other youngster. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
