I feel like ever since we've been back in this competition we've been f@cked over at every turn, starting with that Atletico Madrid game and what happened yesterday. Tapsoba should have been sent off after that deliberate foul on Theo and then that foul on Tammy which should have also been a pen. Add to that the RLC foul which many classify as a penalty as well since the foul was on the line of the penalty area and that just puts the cherry on the cake.

We keep getting the short end of the stick in this competition. Against Liverpool we deserved to lose as we were absolute dog sh!t. But yesterday we did not. This competition has been ruined by greed, has been for a long time but not it's getting even worse with this ridiculous format.

We're not getting into the top 8 teams anyway, I say we blow it off for now, we'll still be in the play offs next year. For now just concentrate on the league.

wow. least expected especially considering how the midweek went for us and as compared to inter drawing at City.

But this was a well deserved win. Let's hope we can build on this as Han said not just a derby lift.

3 wins on the bounce in the league. I'm still skeptical of this 4-4-2 but when Morata gets on the ball you can see how it can really work, and most importantly we look more stable in defence. Still some obvious vulnerabilities, Emerson just cannot defend imo. But Gabbia/Tomori is looking much better than the previous pairings, Pavlovic is a promising player, but a bit too clumsy on the ball for my taste, plus I think Tomori is much more comfortable on the left side of the defence for whatever reason.

Fofana slowly integrating, still want to see more from him. Tammy really unlucky but his ethic is 2nd to none.

The build-up still needs much improving, we're too static which makes it difficult to break down teams that are going to defend like Lecce wanted to do yesterday.

Real test comes on Tuesday and then at Fiorentina. Let's see if we can turn this into a run of good form.

My thinking is that against teams like Leverkusen/Inter we simply have to play on the counter. We have all the components to really hurt teams and Tammy is such a great focal point to play off of.

Can't believe we've finally cracked the Inter code!

Some very encouraging signs tonight. I hope it wasn't just the derby lift and Fonseca is finally starting to get his word across. Much better shape, much better transitions, build-up still questionable. Need to get Rafa more involved but I really like the Tammy, Morata, Puli combos.

Although considering last season we couldn't even wake up to stop them winning the title, I think overall this was very good and gives me great hope.

Theo back on top of that right side dual. Emerson finally got it together a bit in the 2nd half but had more to do with Di Marco's poor stamina. He can cross though, I'll give him that

Inter keep attacking the same way, each time you know what they're going to do and each time we fall right into it. Theo at least dealing with Dumbfries, Emerson on the other hand is just an idiot.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Sep 2 2024, 05:45 PM) *
Yeah, but don't forget how this management tried to f*ck Bennacer over. As per my understanding, some of Bennacer's intermediaries misinformed him he would get important offers from Saudi, and based on this we decided to put him on the market. But these offers never came. In the very last day Atletico and Marseille tried to sign him on loan but it was too late for negotiations to go through.

Did you know Bennacer didn't train for 3 days last week? Some say he faked medical certificates. He also appears slightly overweight.

His whole situation was handled terribly by this so-called management. Now how do you re-integrate a player who might be shown the door again in January? How do you make sure he's fit and motivated for the next 4 months?

I know Bennacer has had a drop in his performances, but he's a great player and needs to feel important and part of the project. We've done the complete opposite. Apparently his 4M wages are too much for this management. My god, I can't stand RedBird anymore.

A coach worth his salt would manage to re-integrate the player if he thinks he's worth it. And Bennacer imo is that.

And yeah, RedBird have basically undone all the forward progress we'd made under Elliot. They took over a championship winnind side and we've regressed every season since then.

Also, this team, with this defence cannot play a 4-2-3-1 with one of the pivot players being Reijnders. It leaves us exaposed and wastes all his good qualities.

We have the players for a proper 4-3-3, even a mid player like RLC would look much better in a midfield 3 than what we're doing now with him in the AM position.

For me, the best midfield 3 would be Bennacer, Fofana and Tijjani, with the latter being slightly more advanced than the other 2.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Sep 1 2024, 09:51 AM) *
We're back to banter era levels. This is Giampaolo's Milan all over again. Yes, nobody was happy with Fonseca from the get-go, but I thought it was only fair to at least give him a chance. No way, this guy has no idea what he's doing. And he has lost completely control of the locker room. What Leao and Theo did last night during the cooling break was shameful. Everyone is talking about it.

Then on to the individuals. I truly believe that even if you replaced Emerson with Hakimi and Loftus-Cheek with Dani Olmo nothing would change, because this level of disorganisation goes beyond the individuals. But it must be said that some of these players are downright terrible.

Chukwueze!!! OMFG! I keep repeating myself over and over again, but this guy is pure garbage. Possibly the worst signing we've ever made considering how much we spent for him.

Loftus-Cheek. How on earth he has played 3 full 90 minutes goes beyond me. The guy is the epitome of useless. Just name me one good trait he has that he displays on the pitch for the better of the team. Nada! He's simply jogging all match without doing anything of substance. My god how f@cking terrible...

I always maintained that Pobega was our worst player, but I stand corrected. Terracciano is without a shadow of doubt the worst player to have worn this shirt since Bakaye Traor? in 2012. We are talking Serie C levels here, without exaggeration.

Emerson Royal looked half decent in the first half, but both goals came from his flank. And he never pushed forward once. We all knew he was gonna be sh*t and lo and behold, he is sh*t. Only Moncada couldn't see it because he has prosciutto over his eyes.

Man, I could go on and on and on but it would be a never-ending post. I just wanna say that the Milan we have seen in these first three games is one of the worst things I have seen in my life as a fan. And that is saying something.

Couldn't agree more!!

One thing. This Milan is the worst you've seen because these players are better than what we're seeing. At least in the banter era the players were just as sh!t as the coaches and system. But now it's even more painful because a part of the issue is the players not even trying.

Rafa and Theo had every right to be f@cking livid, not just p!ssed. Fonseca is going to try to make an example out of them by playing the likes of Terracciano instead. He can f@ck right off and the faster the influential players become mutinous the better. The quicker we get rid of this guy the better as the longer he stays the quicker our season goes to the shitter.

And this chukuwaze also such a waste of money

RLC, Chukwueze, Royal; all complete dog sh!t. How RLC has gotten 3 starts and 3 full 90 minute games is beyond me. And then the gall to try to make an example out of Rafa and Theo, who granted have been below par, but you don't disenfranchise your 2 best players to try to make a point FFS

Fonseca is going to give Gianpaolo a run for his money.

We'll go into the international break without a single win considering what's coming up next, it's going to get uglier

We're so disorganized, it's horrific to watch

The lack of quality during this game from both sides was appalling to witness. I've seen 8 year old play out the ball better than what we were doing. We also keep conceding the same goal over and over again. Our right side is broken

Tomori is not using a single braincell. The amount of times he passes it directly to opposing players is absolutely criminal. Royal absolutely does not know how to defend and he brings nothing to our attacking play either. Another waste of space player we'll be begging someone to take off our hands next summer. Excellent job there management team, no one could see that one coming. Calabria should still be the starter.

Any time the opposition has attacked us down that right side we completely collapse, keep letting in dumb crosses and cut-backs for simple tap-ins. Just inexcusable. The Inter game is going to be incredibly painful. They're the masters of the cut-back. I cannot imagine how many times we're going to get turned over by them with the way our whole team is so disjointed and wide open. We're trying to press and play out the back and keep getting both things wrong.

Don' know if anyone is dropping in here anymore.

But I just want to say, this is why I worried about removing Pioli. If a top coach was not going to come in, nothing was going to change. We actually look worse than some of our worst performances under Pioli right now

Btw. Emerson Royal? Total waste of money and anyone who watches the EPL even in the most casual of ways would have told you that. WTF is our scouting team doing that we cannot find a decent RB and have to go waste 15m or whatever it was on a mediocre EPL player

Also, RLC must a be a machine in training, because that is the only explanation I can think of as to why 2 coaches now have a such a hard on for such a mediocre player

if we are getting Fonseca then we should have kept Pioli. More and more rumour of seeing Theo and Leao as well.

This is what I was worried about. When I was advocating for Pioli to stay, it was mostly born out of the worry of who would be the replacement. We have not had a top coach t this club since Carlo.

Now Napoli have taken Conte and we're going to get stuck with some also-ran as our coach. Wasting even more time from this current crop of players we have.

There was Conte, Motta, Sarri, Conceicao and De Zerbi. All there for the taking, and we're going to bring in a guy who has already failed in this league with a pretty decent Roma side when the league was pretty much dead.

Btw, how much better is our attack is with Okafor in there speaks so much to not only Giroud's decline this season but mostly to Pioli's hard head.

Oh, and I always watch even if I leave it on while I do something else now that the games have no real value. I always watch. I watched through the horrible 10 years of the banter era. This is still heaven compared to that utter hell. Let's all remember where this team comes from. We were forced to endure the likes of Mesbah, Constant, Vangioni, Sosa, Mati Fernandez, Poli, Bertolacci and on and on and on, sully the shirt we all love.

I still appreciate watching the games now because this team has a lot of promise, and we're 3/4 parts away from being a top side imo. Yes the season was ruined because the decision that should have been taken last January was not taken. But I have great hope for next season and that is why I want us to keep the core players at the club. Leao and Theo for me are the biggest players we have along with Mike, we have to build around them and get the best out of all of them. Mike is expandable because a GK can be replaced. The best LB in the world and an explosive player like Leao, not so much.

You're strong still watching Milan games. I gave up after the derby.

Regarding Leao, we should sell. He's not the right player to build your ambitions around. The guy may have talent, but this is not the right environment for him. He's wasting his and our time.

Just ship him off to PSG or someplace, grab 70-80 mil and invest.

Rumours about Theo having accepted terms with Bayern. Hope it's BS.

Disagree about Leao. Yes we've wasted 2 years of his career playing this horrid football where we absolutely waste all his good qualities. But Pioli's out come summer, so I have high expectations.

Theo for me is the one untouchable. Absolutely have to do everything to keep him. I don't believe he's agreed anything with anyone, but if Bayern come in with a huge offer, the club will, sadly, consider it. For me, anything under 120m for Theo should be turned away. If Cucurella is worth 62m Pounds, than Theo is wroth twice that and more. We better not be needy b!tches in the summer. Theo is the best LB in the world, anything other than a record fee and the fans should riot.....

I'd personally only try to shop Mike around a bit this summer, don't make it seem like we want to sell, but throw out feelers out there. He needs to renew and he's going to demand top dollar. But his injury record and season performance has been sub-par. If we can monetize him for a good fee (around 80m) to some EPL club, then we need to take the money and run.

If we can get a coach who is capable of getting the best out of Chukwueze and Leao .i.e we play in a way that releases them from the constant double marking. Watch out.

Chuku is finally showing that he can ball. Too bad Pioli never really gave him a chance. Puli is good in the centre as well, but unless we get in a decent DM, we should not be playing 4 attackers out there against any half decent side

1 - #Inter are the 1st team to arithmetically win the #Scudetto in a city derby in the history of the #SerieA (since 1929-30); furthermore, the Nerazzurri are the 2nd Italian team to win at least 20 Scudetti, after Juventus (36). Unforgettable.

Pioli... All thanks to his stupid thinkering. Lost us 2 games against Roma and now this.

And you wanted him to stay only a few weeks ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I repeat, the most disgraceful coach in Milan history.

Like I said, you were right, I was wrong. The run of good results in the easy fixtures, all mostly settled by individuality were clouding my better judgement. More than that, the fear of who they might choose drove that desire more than anything else.

And I'm still worried about who they might choose. It has to be a top coach, capable of getting the best of our players. It cannot be a run of the mill journey man again.

That's why I was sort of ok with settling with Pioli. But after these 2 weeks. If I could I'd go there and kick him out DJ Jazzy Jeff style myself

Inter getting a 2nd star before us. Makes it even more bitter by the fact that they engineered 5 of their titles through calciopoli and were assigned one on paper. Absolutely disgusting team who we've now let walk all over us for 6 consecutive games. All of which being in a humiliating fashion with the highest of stakes to play for. Super Coppa, CL semi and now Scudetto decider for them.

Thank you Padre Pioli, you're no longer on fire, but you should be set on fire.

Sac him tonight Cardinale, or all your credibility is going down the drain

The cherry on top of the sh!t cake

Pioli should have been sacked last season during January. The writing was on the wall then. He never learns.

We should just fire him tonight and let Bonera or someone, anyone take over for the rest of this dead rubber season.

Letting Pioli stay on past today gives all the wrong signals to everyone.

Letting Inter win the title against us. While laying down for them!

We have no midfield, it has been like this all season, and he's actually made it worse as the season went on with RLC playing so high now. Inter are literally waltzing through with acres and acres of space. Disgusting

Every chance they create is a f@cking replica! Bring the ball down in the middle, draw our CBs up, play it wide, cut it back into our box. FFS!

We need a striker out there!
