The 28-year-old joined his current team from Racing Santander in the summer of 2007. However, Zigic failed to make an impact at Valencia and scored only once in 16 league appearances. The Primera Division outfit opted to farm him out on loan to Racing Santander this term, where Zigic rediscovered his scoring boots. The Serbian international has scored 13 league goals in 19 matches.
