Greece was great. A great story, not great football. But I'm also a big fan of Otto Rehagel.
On another topic: Hope for some Ronaldo action as well. He's one of the guys who make football interesting.

Agree with both comments regarding CRON, dstand LaPalma. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The man's electrifying when on form and football would be poorer without him. I am glad (not speaking as a fan here, not even sure I am that big a fan, actually) that he turned it up in this tournament. All big players should bring their best on the big stages.

As for Greece winning it, yeah, again agreed, it was not my footballing idea of a fun time, but the win itself I am sure done a lot of good for the country. I'll take a big country winning the gold, but a smaller footballing nation every once in a while has its special charm. As long as they don't lie, cheat, and steal their way through it.

Let's see what happens against Spain tonight. The next two days promise to be a cracking, that's for sure!

While I don't disagree about the word bending going around, Pirlo isn't a saint either. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) In fact, if the guy had been graceful and grateful, we probably wouldn't even be talking about this right now. A lot of senators have had nice things to say about Milan, even though some may still take up offers from other clubs.

From Dida to Nesta, the guy in your new avatar (Seedorf), Gattuso, Zambrotta, everyone. Except Mr. Vendetta.

Barely got any sleep last night and I have to sit through 2 hours of Spain? I don't rate my chances of being awake at full time very high.

I have faith in Portugal. And more specifically CRON. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) If he can just run in once or twice through the Spanish defense, seeing as he practically knows the Barcelona and Real Madrid players inside out. That, or maybe, he can pull a Rooney on a Spanish player and get them down to 10 men.

Anyway, I still have a feeling it's going to be an ask to watch the dreaded pinga ponga.
