QUOTE (han2503 @ Nov 16 2021, 08:25 PM) That Euros win has gotten to their heads.
I'm an Azzurri fan but Mancini's decisions are seriously mind boggling
I still think they were one of the best teams at the Euros though, they've just been figured out now, and unfortunately, as you said, Mancini is not good enough to change things
Risking not seeing Italy in the World Cop for 12 years now with the way the play-offs are now it's even more difficult. Would be truly sad for such a great footballing nation, but it is a reflection of the rot at the core of Italian football 12 years? They participated in 2014, no?

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 16 2021, 09:52 PM) 12 years? They participated in 2014, no? Yes, but missing 2022 would mean having to wait to the 2026 World Cup, making it 12 years of not participating That, and not having played a KO game since the 2006 final makes it even more egregious

That, and not having played a KO game since the 2006 final makes it even more egregious Ah, right right. That is, if they do participate in 2026. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Couldn't care less personally. Yes, I do fancy the Azzurri in major competitions, but I'm not exactly a fan. I'm not really a fan of any national team, not even mine (which sucks).

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 19 2021, 01:48 PM) Sky - Rebic injured, Leao to start tonorrow.
This is not possible. This guy hasn?t played in more than a month, had two weeks of just training, and still gets injured. It?s a fucking curse. ... Honestly getting so fed up with these injuries. We recover one player and lose 2. Calabria and Rebic out in the coming stretch is another big blow for us. We have not had a fully fit squad available once this season FFS!! I honestly do not understand what the fitness team is doing. This is not about luck, there is obviously something intrinsically wrong with how the players are preparing and training. Conte practically used the same 14 players all of last season and barely had any injuries aside from Sensi who is just broken. And it's not like they played a laid back style either. Something must be done to fix this.

Something must be done to fix this. I think it's more to do with the players themselves than with the fitness team. Think about it. Guys like Theo, Tomori, Kessie, Tonali, Brahim, Saelemaekers, Leao etc. who always play never get injured. Then you've got guys like Kjaer, Calabria, Bennacer, Rebic etc. that are fragile as f*ck, and get injured even without playing. QUOTE The forfeit in today's training of Ante Rebic, as collected by our editorial team, was caused by a problem in his flexor. The Croatian forward, after a heel strike, felt a pain that forced him to leave the session. The extent of the injury, therefore, will be assessed in the coming days. LinkAnother muscular problem...
