Can you guys give me ONE reason not to go throw myself in front of a truck?

We lost Shevchenko, a legend in this club, and here we are as Champions of Europe 12 months later.

It's not the end of the world.

Stop bloody complaining!

-Villa haven't BEEN in Europe for 5 years, forget making a final.
-We haven't won a trophy for 11 years.
-It's been 26 years since we won the league.
-It's been 25 years since we won a European trophy (InterToto doesn't count).

You're just greedy. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

And now there'l be ten years before we can even begin to DREAM about contending for one again...great.
*

Well now it's more harder. Cuz you have Chelsea very strong now and Liverpool might be a force and of course United always was there . Maybe if some reach guy would buy Arsenal and give Wenger some money to work with...

Anyway, Henry is almost 31 and is more injury prone than before. Arsen will find someone who can replace him... Even without him last season Arsenal weren't that bad...

Maybe Arsenal managed to swap Henry for Messi?
Not likely, but now I'm desperate to see Wenger bring on a proved striker.
Babel, Trezeguet...whatever.
*

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Arsenal can only dream about a player whose buy-out clause is €150 million!

QUOTE (Porty @ Jun 23 2007, 01:09 AM)
Henry did the same in ArsenalTV (talking about next season). He was even in the new kit photo. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
*

Maybe... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) but Henry's future was clearly predictable, but we can't say that about Ronaldinho's... especially after Galliani's declarations about the possibility of ending transfer market once Suazo's deal was completed...

But I have been used to Arsenal being a major power in Europe for like 20 FVCKING years!!!
Villa is a mid-table team, so you don't expect them to push for all these titles, do you???

But Porty, youv'e got a point there.
And If Wenger stops signing all these 16-year olds soon and pulls some good transfers, it may provide a turning point for us.

I don't expect my team to push for titles, neither should you.

I really don't think you're good enough to challenge Liverpool for 3rd anymore, so you can forget titles. Be happy with Champions League football, appreciate what you get.

We were in the 2006 CL final and won the FA-Cup the year before that.
How can you wonder why I'm dissapointed? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I never said you weren't disappointed, I'm just saying not to expect too much.

The greatest of teams don't win everything all the time. Look at United and Madrid recently, when you look domestically, look at Milan. You can't have everything, obviously you're going to be disappointed, everybody gets disappointed when they don't win something.

It must be hard to swallow.

If it's any consolation he's one of the best players EVER to play in the EPL, and I'd rather him be at Arsenal than Barcelona. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well, I am not a HUGE fan of Arsenal, as u r .. But I have been to Hibury and I have watched Henry play ... So it is fair to say that I was really impressed with Henry. He gave the best years of his career to Arsenal (as Sheva did to us..) and now he is cashing in (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

He is in his decline and, as everyone is confirming, Wenger will replace him (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) But don't expect to go the distance, cuz it is when u expect the least that u get the surprise of winning the CL (as we did (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) ..

p.s. Arsenal reached the CL final with this very team that Arsenal has, except without Rosicky and Hleb, but still the same team. Therefor, I don't think loosing Henry (at 31) is a HUGE loss (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

It's quite different.

Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell are missing from defense.
Robert Pires from midfield.
Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp from up front.

Without question 5 of their top players over recent years. Oh, and Reyes.

I'm no great fan of Arsenal, Locke, but they /do/ play the most attractive football in England. I ENJOY watching them play even if I'm not necessarily cheering for them. And R7 makes a good point -- it may not be the end of the world, Henry moving to Barca. Milan didn't do too badly losing their star striker, after all. Well, when u think about it ... Ashley barely played a part in that CL (he was injured for the best part of the season (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) ... Cambell, well against West Ham that year, he really screwed up in defense and (though he scored for them) he wasn't at his tip top shape. Pires and Bergkamp (if u know me, u would know I agree about those two (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) experience is what propelled them YES .. But, as a whole, it was this very team with this manager that reach the CL final .. And don't forget, the team struggled after loosing Viera (as Milan did loosing Sheva..) .. So u have to give credit to the team (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And Henry, well, he is one of the top 5 strikers there is around (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Arsenal did do very well to reach the final. But I think the loss of those players, some of whom are irreplacable, is one of the reasons they won't reach that level of play for some time.

P.S. I'm still waiting for the news tomorrow.. Henry: "I've not signed anything, I am, and will remain an Arsenal player." (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
