Milan eye Grimi Reports in Italy suggest Milan have targeted Racing Avellaneda’s Leandro Grimi and could sign him in January.
While the Rossoneri’s main target remains Lazio defender Massimo Oddo, the Via Turati outfit is close to finalising a deal to bring the 21-year-old Argentine, who would arrive with the added bonus of an EU passport, to the San Siro.
Milan desperately needs to strengthen their defensive unit, which has suffered huge problems so far – mainly because of the injuries that have hit several key players.
The Rossoneri seem therefore set on introducing young blood in a team which has a very high average age and Grimi could represent an excellent start in this sense.
Milan are allegedly trying to sign the defender in the next few days in order for him to join the squad, which is due to leave for a mini-training camp in Malta on January 2.
There do not seem to be any obstacles which might cause the negotiation to fail, although the move must be seen as an investment for the future, considering the player’s young age and given the fact that he only made his debut on the first team only in August and will definitely need some time to settle in.
